Just been catching up on this thread.
Like a lot of PPs I'd been feeling sorry for Noor, felt her ideas were brushed off and she was shut down very quickly.
Now I see it was probably clever editing:
Noor makes a suggestion
<cut & splice>
It gets shot down or ignored
<c&s>
Shot of Noor looking downcast and downtrodden.
Presumably, during those discussions, she'd always been acting as she did in the last task, but those bits weren't shown. So, she looked like poor, put upon Noor.
Amazed that she said "It's good, isn't it?" about that awful advert to SA seeming to think she could push him into agreeing with her.
I haven't been watching as long as many people, but I don't remember anyone being fired before three people were chosen to come back to the boardroom.
I appreciate it probably has happened, but must be pretty rare.
I wasn't surprised at all that she didn't go on You've Been Fired. I don't think she could cope with the slightest bit of teasing.
And, really, what could the BBC do if she refused? Sue her for breach of contract? Not a good look.
It would also be very easy to get off going on, for example via mental health grounds. She goes to a GP, says appearing on YBF would be damaging for her MH and GP writes a (factually correct) letter saying "This patient has told me that appearing on this show would impact badly on her MH".
I just don't think she's bright enough to see that if you go on, take the flak and be a good sport (even if you're livid inside) people can turn their opinions around.
Whereas, I'm not sure anyone - having seen her on TA - would want to try to work with her now.
Sorry! V long post
But DH isn't very interested so it's nice to find somewhere to bang on about it.
