I remember reading that the boardroom alone is a full day of filming. It must be really tedious.
I also read when they are given a task, they are given a folder of pre approved names and ideas. They have to select one of each and run with it.
All of the ideas have been checked for the equivalent of copyright and pre approved by a BBC research team so they won’t be accused of infringement. Apparently the folder is the one you can sometimes see the PM holding. It’s more obvious in tasks like the Budapest one where they are given the pre approved options and they just have to choose which one to go with but it’s for most of the tasks.
That might explain why the buying and selling tasks are more entertaining as, up until this year at least, they haven’t so obviously been scripted.
