I don't think anyone can actually be paying for anything. It's all theoretical.
As in none of the orders for products are real but what the order is what they might (if the product was as refined as it would actually be if they could make the adjustments needed).
With selling tickets i think the issue is more needing to find people
A) Happy to be approached by people obviously on a TV show and selling something.
B) Happy to appear on TV.
I can't imagine any who had paid whatever they'd asked for the tours - which are usually rubbish because none of the contrstants are knowledge in the area. (Recall the safari where one of them didn't know the animals?)
i feel they are therefore generous with not asking for refunds where they might differ if theyd paid actual money and then asked if they want a refund. (Which is different frim real life. No company offers the chance for a refund! Customers would complain then possibly be offered one or need to ask)
If no one actually actual pays for a tickets then when it comes to refunds if they had a crappy part (the Maura bit) followed by a enjoyable bit (wine tasting) they forgive the crappy bit more readily than they might if it were their own money at stake.
Where it's companies I think they more readily ask for refunds so the company don't look like a push over.
