I couldn't see another thread, is anyone watching? I thought the opening pro number was fabulous, loved the skate through London.

Will be interesting to how it is with Stephen and Holly, they seemed relaxed together when he stood in for Phil.

Loved Adele, really cool, she looked fabulous too.

How was that better than Adele? There was no solo skating for a start.

I thought Amber was stunning, she'll be difficult to beat. The lowest going straight out is savage, with so many with similar scores there could be a surprise boot ( assuming it works like Strictly- does anyone know? )

Why isn't there a skate off? I missed the first few minutes of the programme.

She was a rather fabulous Anita in West Side Story ( and a rather cringey Tony award presenter!)

Holly's dress looks like it's on back to front, the bows look really odd!

I thought I heard him say what the hell?

When I first saw the dress, I didn't realise they were bows and thought it looked like big safety pins were holding it together (a la Liz Hurley back in the day)!!!

I figured that! The scoring is so random

Just caught up. The scoring was indeed strange. Some of the girls did virtually no skating but got more marks than some of the men that had done a fair bit. But I think that the two in the skate off were fair enough.

Having been a DOI fan for years I also bought tickets when the tour came to my city about 5 years ago. I was disappointed. It just didn't have the oomph I was expecting. Tickets ridiculously expensive too.

Blimey! I did like the black velvet material and floor length slit. Just didn't like the crossover halter neck and bows with so much cleavage on show. The back was super low also. She carried it off well though.

I just don’t get it. It’s annoying me now. Lou was FAR better than Claire. Claire never let go of her partner!

Based on a comment Oti made to Lou, I'm wondering if the judges are deliberately scoring her low to then show how much progress she has made later on in the series when she starts getting higher scores? Sort of manipulating the scores so to speak?

Did they say why there wasn’t a skate off this week? (If they did, I must have missed it).

@Funderthighs , I think it was tv scheduling, no couple have dropped out with injury yet so not enough time for a skate off.

Oti really annoys me as a judge on this show. She comments on the skating but as far as I know she doesn't skate herself. Unpopular opinion probably but I would far rather have seen James Jordan as a judge if they wanted an ex strictly pro. He can skate and actually won the show.

Claire has injured herself and is having to change her routine.
No doubt judges comments will all be about how she’s ’a trooper’ skating through it and having a short time to learn new steps etc.
Shes already getting scored too high compared to some of the others who have actually been doing more skating on their own without holding onto their partner.

Not a fan of Oti's dress!

Oti had a baby about 6 weeks ago - if she feels good in that dress then she gets a pass from me.

I love Adele's attitude. I hope she goes a long way.
