Now fully at Live TV pace.

Will it be a traitor in the kitchen with a poisoned chalice?

Crikey @CaveMum, we're only three quarters into this one, but I live a challenge 😃.

Can we talk about the music? I LOVE the music. The signer is excellent and I love how they manage to turn any sort of song into something Traitors-style.

Oh no I hated Miles.
I thought he was lovely and I would never have suspected him if I was a faithful unlike OTT Paul who I would be very suspicious of if I was them!

AlinaSquareQueen · 18/01/2024 12:50

I’m loving S2 but, like most people, Paul gives me the absolute rage…… especially when he’s in the diary room and makes smug and arrogant comments about how his plan is working and suchlike. If he wins I’ll be gutted. Please God, don’t let Harry be banished before Paul.

I didn’t mind Wilfred in S1 until the very end when he said in complete desperation ‘I’ll swear on anything that I’m not a traitor’. I think him doing that (even with his fingers crossed) is crossing a line, because I feel he’d have been happy to mention his own children in the same breath. And then when he got revealed as a Traitor, and pretended to be pleased that his Faithful friends had won, again I felt was totally unbelievable.

AlinaSquareQueen · 18/01/2024 12:56

I hope it’s ok to talk about S1? I’m sorry if I shouldn’t have.

Claudia gave that hint about crocodile tears if the faithful were actually listening!

I wanted to shout that at them last night

autienotnaughty · 18/01/2024 13:11

I thought the graves challenge was excellent.

I think it's unfortunate miles made a show of giving Diane the drink so it stuck with her. And that they all latched onto the drink idea. Otherwise miles was under the radar.

I like Harry but I don't think he's as nice as he makes out.

CaveMum · 18/01/2024 13:16

I love the music too, anything that uses Massive Attack and Portishead (particularly as a Bristol girl!) is a winner in my book but the rearrangement of the other tracks into that breathy, wistful style is pretty epic!

The music used in the first six episodes can be found here: BBC Sounds Mixes - TV Soundtracks, The Traitors, Music from The Traitors - Series Two

All the tunes from episodes 1-6 of The Traitors, series two.

Really good point @autienotnaughty It was partly self-inflicted.

I think grouping the blondes is a bit unfair. Evie comes across as smart and observant imo. Mollie is very distinguishable with her personal story right from the beginning (the stoma bag) and being so young.
Charlie gives me completely different vibes to the other two...(As pp said - my mum would be killing me too if I was in tv with unbrushed hair).

The people that are lost in the background for me are Charlotte and Andrew. And even Jasmine. I can see them going far though as such is the game - they are zero threat to anybody.

Paul is beyond annoying now. There's zero decency. Feel like the wife should LTB...

It's funny how both P and H decided to throw Miles under the bus without even discussing it! They totally steered the conversation to make sure he's gone, and it wasn't needed. Obvs Paul felt threatened that if not Miles it might be his turn, but the faithfuls didn't have a clue either way.

Harry is so bold now - making revealing little comments here and there, but just nobody seems to notice. People saying he's a good actor - well, he's clearly a very good liar. Not sure it's the same thing though...

Miles was a 'traitor' with integrity and decency, also clever enough to speak up for himself and defend his corner, without being mean and nasty.

I was disappointed by Jaz yesterday. He didn't quite get the Paul and Harry link even though Paul made it so obvious in his little speech. If he shared that convo with Zak and Zak told him what Harry said about Miles and Paul having a 'traitor war' they would be getting somewhere...

However, the aim is not banishing the traitors, is it. It's knowing who they are for the last round. So of course they are happy to vote for whoever as long as it's not them.

If I were Ross and the traitors recruited me I would be avenging my mum from the inside, for sure.

JaneJeffer · 18/01/2024 13:29

I feel like Zack was acting last night. He was as OTT as Paul. I think he is certain Paul is a traitor but is playing the long game now.

commonground · 18/01/2024 13:29

I feel like they must have had some kind of heads' up about getting into those coffins. That is quite a 'triggering' thing to ask of people and if the production team are being careful about welfare etc, I can't see how they could spring that on them without some kind of debrief or rehearsal. I felt like Diane might have known what was coming in that task. (Obviously she was definitely not in it when it slammed).

And Jaz-atha Christie really screwed it up by nominating Andrew. Wtf???? He knows it's Paul (and everyone else knew it was Miles) but he chucks in a complete random, so now if he tries to say that he is sure it's Paul no one will listen because he thought he was sure about Andrew. Gah.

Also annoyed they are allowed to recruit. It just seems like whack-a-mole for the faithfuls. Get rid one traitor and two more pop up.

MaggieFS · 18/01/2024 13:29

I think the blondes are getting more airtime now, so yes, we can tell them apart and see them act differently.

But I was completely with the poster on the previous thread who said "who" when someone voted for Evie in the second or third episode.

The music is great! Did I imagine an appearance by Wicked Game last night? It was during one of the exciting bits, so I wasn’t paying proper attention, but I love that song.

AmyandPhilipfan · 18/01/2024 13:32

I couldn't stand Wilf last year. He would do anything that would help himself. Was desperate for them not to vote him off and then was so fake with his 'oh thank God, I really wanted you to win!' type of act. I was so pleased when Kieron turned the others against him as otherwise he definitely would have won.

It always annoys me when throughout these programmes there's always people who insist 'I know 100% it's not him!' No you don't know that at all. This is a game that other people are trying to win. You've also only just met them and don't know them at all! Have a bit of sense!

I just think Paul is playing the game, I don't think you can infer much about him from this, apart from the fact he's a competent liar. Which is quite a thing in itself.

Claudia gave that hint about crocodile tears if the faithful were actually listening!

What did she say?

Evidently I missed it (probably because I was giving out about the Paul worship 😁).

Have said this before but I absolutely loved Wilf being shafted in the final. If similar happens to Paul i will also love it. It was absolutely glorious!!

I couldn't stand his carry on though pretty much from day 1. My youngest and I used to have great fun shouting at the TV whenever he was being ludicrous. Bit of of DIY Panto fun.
