Now fully at Live TV pace.

Will it be a traitor in the kitchen with a poisoned chalice?

Whoever they recruit will realise they've already double crossed two traitors so I think they're going to be very wary. Unless it's Andrew because he's not the brightest and even if he does realise he won't be able to figure out how to stop them.

Oh, when Miles said that he was off home to his babies, does he have children? He’s never spoken about anyone.

He mentioned he had two adopted children I think

It was on one of the press releases about the contestants (not sure which) that he and his husband have two children together, so presumably adopted

crabbyoldbat · 17/01/2024 23:31

Jaz needs to be sure of more allies before leading a charge against Paul - in the meantime, he needs him to think the 1 to 1 chat worked, to avoid being murdered.

Paul is being manipulated by Harry and doesn't realise, and I don't think he's noticed Harry's interaction with Zack (or others), because it's all about him, what he does, and how people react to him

Given they're recruiting someone to be cannon fodder for them rather than someone who would actually be a good traitor, I wonder if they'd murder that person if they don't accept. Is it worth it if they're looking at someone who's facing banishment anyway?

In S1 the person recruited had to choose between becoming a traitor or being murdered, but that doesn’t seem to be the case this time?

Anisette · 17/01/2024 23:33

On "The Rest is Entertainment" podcast, they said that the Claudia we see is exactly how she is in RL. Apparently she struggles a bit in The Traitors to keep down her instinct to be nice to people.

crabbyoldbat · 17/01/2024 23:35

This is still the case. So they are incentivised to agree, or their chance of winning is definitely over

The title of this thread is brilliant 😂

nunsflipflop · 17/01/2024 23:36

I was never a Claudia fan previous to the traitors series 1, but I think she might be my girl crush now

Thanks, I didn't hear Claudia say that if the recruited person refuses the invitation they would be murdered but in my general excitement at the brilliance of the episode I may have missed it 😂

I thought it was just rage someone who turned them down last time was murdered the next night (but not automatic)?

Violahastings · 17/01/2024 23:45

Just caught up with tonight’s episode

Wasnt sure on the whole ‘slow death’ twist. Miles didn’t have much suspicion around him before that (never voted at the table) so was playing the game well and going undetected so far, seems a bit unfair that he ends up narrowed down because of pouring Diane’s drink.

I would have lost it at the choir singers, wouldn’t have been able to keep a straight face at all 😭

Still INFURIATING that Paul hasn’t gone yet. It should be so obvious he’s a traitor. Enraging that he wasn’t voted off after the whole dungeon thing- clear evidence yet they just banished more faithfuls 🙄

Harry is playing an amazing game so far.

WriterOfWrongs · 17/01/2024 23:45

It’s not always the case that the recruited have to chose whether to join or be automatically murdered.

It’s only when Claudia tells the traitors they have to BLACKMAIL someone that the chosen will be murdered if they don’t join. This comes towards the latter half of the game.

Joining...

I had high hopes for Jaz recruiting to get Paul out. The amateur dramatics are appalling and so hard to watch. I'm team Harry. BUT Jaz may now clock onto him after Paul basically threw him under the bus about their conversation. The only saving grace for Harry may be the fact that Jaz is appearing to question his judgement after getting it wrong again tonight. I think he's pretty set on Paul though.

I think there were two attempted recruitments last time? First one (Alex?) turned them down, no repercussions but they were murdered the next night. Second one was join or be instantly murdered

No, when they recruited Kieran in S1 he had to choose between traitor or murder, I'm sure.

Yes the traitors had to blackmail Kieran.

He had to choose between joining or being murdered immediately.

Thanks, I missed the blackmail part hence my confusion 💐

Loved tonight’s episode, gutted to see Queen D drink from the poisoned chalice but it did lead to one of the best round tables. Paul is such a hammy actor. I’d vote to banish him just because if not my eyes would roll out of my head at his faux tears and elaborate and dramatic gasps.

Harry is so far playing a blinding game. Loved his little aside to Zach at the round table planting the seed that it was two traitors going at it.

TheFifthTellytubby · 18/01/2024 00:32

QueenOfThorns · 17/01/2024 21:48

Thank you, it does my head in!

Same here - I suspect the aim is to sound more "polite", but it's just plain daft! Really irritating when someone's doing it on the other end of a phone!

L0bstersLass · 18/01/2024 00:36

I think Harry's made a mistake in deciding to recruit someone.
I think that if they hadn't done that, Paul would be out tomorrow.
I think Jaz is onto both of them.

TheFifthTellytubby · 18/01/2024 00:37

I can't quite understand why some of these people seem to forget that just because they only get to vote out one traitor at a time, it doesn't mean there aren't others remaining. It's almost as if they're thinking "we've caught our traitor for today, aka Miles, and therefore Paul is absolved of any suspicion despite all the evidence pointing at him..."

Didn't someone pretend the traitirs had tried to recruit them but theyd tirned them down?

Could have even been one of the actual traitors - I'm weirdly not remembering!!

TheMadGardener · 18/01/2024 00:56

Best episode of Uncloaked so far.

Not sure how the recruiting will work out. Harry is obviously thinking of getting himself an ally so that they can backstab Paul and get rid of him. They can't know how good their new recruit will be at playing Traitor without giving stuff away - they might be useless like Ash.

Ross is so clueless about Paul! Although he's not the only one. The tears and sighs and hammy acting of Paul are just awful.

The funeral was epic. Gutted to lose Diane.

As I've said before, I really hope this series isn't going to end like the last one where a bunch of totally clueless Faithfuls win by sheer luck and no detective skill. I'd love to see Harry win and the horror of the Faithfuls when they realise they've been played - much better TV and more deserved. Either that or I'd like someone with some brains like Zack to figure it out. But the clever people get banished or bumped off while the clueless sheep survive...

SlightlyJaded · 18/01/2024 01:19

Just caught up.

I agree it's a risk to recruit. Fairly sure they'd have finally got rid of Hammy Paul tomorrow and Hazza would be last Traitor standing. Don't think that would work for the producers though, so he would probably be forced to recruit at some point.

I still hope think Paul is at risk tomorrow. I was surprised Jaz didn't vote for him tonight knowing that he was definitely a contender and having spent all series complaining that no one ever votes for him, but tonight aside - Jaz is still reading the game best of all the Faithful.

I am sort of Team Harry/Jaz/Ross/Zach - I'd be happy for them to recruit Jaz, Ross or Zach, throw Paul under the bus and then Traitors for the win.

Claudia's funeral outfit was DIVINE
