It did look like racism on Diane’s part. I wonder if it was, or whether it’s that she’s very used to getting her own way and didn’t like it that Anthony wasn’t just letting her.

It could also be read as a middle aged woman tired of being treated as invisible by younger men. Truth is we don't really have enough information to go on, so fall back on our own life experiences and prejudices.

Oh something I found out about Diane from her interview on The Traitors website - we know she was a teacher, but she worked in a PRU. Of course she did, can you imagine?

She said she used humour a lot to diffuse things. Didn't manage to do that with Antony though, did she...

I don't get this - how can it look like racism?

If we take how Anthony interacts with others and his tendency to be abrupt, it's not a great stretch to understand how he made Diane feel if he was that way with her in the lineup when they had literally just met. I do think it's a little unfair to accuse her of racism.

Please tell me how @Turtlerussell ? She just seems like a forthright older lady who knows her own mind and doesn't suffer fools. No racism there & treats everyone equally.

How does that make it racist @Turtlerussell ? He wouldn't make room for her, which she understandably didn't like it.

Anyway, my love for Diane remains strong.

No one knows how the full interaction played out, the most you get is a sense that Anthony was not letting her in ( which on the face of it seems a bit rude but we just don’t know).

To go from almost no information at all to accusing her of being racist is awful, and potentially libellous.

Surely if you were agreeing @Turtlerussell , you know why you're agreeing?

@theconfidenceofwho why didn't she order someone else in the line to move? Why Anthony?

I thought it looked like racism (although we don’t know, because editing) as she seemed to be picking on Anthony for no actual reason, just for being assertive about not letting her in. I’d be interested to know if she’d have criticised Paul for doing the same - she may well have done, we don’t know, which is why I said “looks like” racism not “is” racism.

I agree with this but calling someone racist with no rationale to back it up is more than critiquing someone - that's well out of order IMHO.
