I said before, I love Brian. His blurting and digging a hole is the kind of thing I'd have done.

Me too! I totally felt for him, the poor chap.

Yep - you could almost feel his brain scrambling as he tried to explain and claw everything back, but kept making it worse :(

I was wondering about the massive scars at the back of his head but he's first alphabetically so it jumped out from this page:
https://www.bbc.com/mediacentre/mediapacks/the-traitors-series-2-contestants
which I haven't read all of! x

That's interesting (and very long!). Fascinating how the vast majority think they can spot a liar.

Also their opinion of how they think they'll behave verses how they actually behave will be interesting. (Depending when they were asked the questions!)

I KNOW RIGHT!! I really laughed - seems almost like a dig on her part not to ask them to mention the show?? 😁

Claudia will have been paid a hefty chunk by the cannabis people (so I saw her promoting them somewhere else) to push that product and they may have put in a clause about “Don’t even mention the traitors”, though I’m surprised the guardian didn’t slip it in somewhere, probably too low brow for the guardian, and the journalist has never heard of it!

It fascinates me that the BBC cling to the lie about the Strictly results show being filmed on Sunday evenings when everyone knows it’s not, and there’s all the fuss about the spoiler. I know it’s not on at the moment but I couldn’t help thinking of that ref Claudia’s Sundays 😆 And that reference to four day old makeup, obviously she’s joking, but it still made me wince and pray for her pillowslips 🫣

BBC, that’s a Traitor’s behaviour 😀

Eh? They don't lie and say it's filmed on a Sunday!

When they interview the judges about the performances they constantly refer to ‘last night’ 🤷🏻‍♀️ There are lots of references to ‘last night’ except everyone knows it’s all the same night.

Anyway, it was only a lighthearted remark and not really the subject of this thread.

They never say 'last night' - they always say 'on Saturday night' or 'on Saturday night's show'. They have got their phrasing very finely tuned.

Thanks. They’ve either changed it since I first started watching or I’m mishearing, or I’ve heard slip ups on ITT. while I’m at it though, Traitors and ‘murdered’ I really wish they’d say ‘dispatched’ instead.

It's necessary, though. Within the game story, that's what's happened, and it keeps the drama high.

(I’m not enjoying all the criticism of Brian, it’s unkind. It’d be more enjoyable if this thread could reflect Claudia’s approach).

Why Brian in particular?

TitsInAbsentia · 10/01/2024 12:16

I saw mention of an official podcast but couldn't find anything (I listen via Spotify so may be why) I listen to the shrine pod, and chris and dave have done one, are there any others people would recommend? I do like to immerse myself in a show 🤣

TokyoSushi · 10/01/2024 12:18

Yes I'm not sure that the break works, wasn't it on every single day, or almost, last time?

It might take tonight to get back into it again, I absolutely LOVE it though!

IGotItFromAgnes · 10/01/2024 12:21

I think the whole series - or almost - may have dropped on iPlayer at once last time, although can’t fully remember.

I don’t like the break either.

Desolatewardrobe · 10/01/2024 12:47

Lots of people, including me, binge watched it on iPlayer last year because it was word of mouth and we didn’t start watching at the beginning of the series. And then the Aus and US versions have been bingeable too. But it wasn’t originally shown like that.

The BBC podcast with Ed Gamble only seems to be on BBC Sounds for me, which is annoying.

WoolyMammoth55 · 10/01/2024 13:00

@Turtlerussell Harry’s quite weasely - I think they may end up underestimating him and he’ll fly under the radar.

Yes I think this too! I think Paul is clever and a brilliant actor and gameplayer. He's camping up the villainy but somehow underneath it all I don't find him unlikeable?

[Miles I LURVE and Ash I do find likeable although clearly quite bad at the game!]

But Harry I think is my least favourite traitor - the lip-licking after he got chosen was a massive turn-off! And he's doing this persona of sort of lost little baby lamb, "I'm so worried they're going to vote me out" stuff which gives me the ick.

I get it's a game and he's playing it well, but he puts a spin on it which I just find a bit yucky somehow - anyone relate?

Very excited for tonight! I agree the break is a ballache but I'll take it.

@TitsInAbsentia there is the Traidars podcast too on Apple or Acast. It's incredibly long and in depth, but good observations.

AttillaThePlum · 10/01/2024 14:39

Hello my people,

Firstly, the Rest is Entertainment podcast is v good on the Traitors this week, but I have a question. They are saying that there will be a drop of three programmes tonight - but Twitter says otherwise? Which is true?

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 10/01/2024 14:49

Not sure if I’ve missed it on this thread (knowing me I have) but there is a Traitors Uncloaked with unseen footage. Bbc2.

CaveMum · 10/01/2024 14:59

@TitsInAbsentia the official Traitors podcast “Uncloaked” is on BBC Sounds with Ed Gamble.

It has been done as a “visual podcast” hence half of it being on BBC2 as @WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout says. They put an extra 15 minutes on the BBC Sounds version so it’s worth watching/listening to both.

They’ve only done one so far, after Ep3, so I don’t know if they will continue to do one after each batch of 3 or what.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 10/01/2024 15:18

Ahh thank you! Will download podcast Also.

I am pretty certain it's one a night from now on .. it's playing havoc with my January social life, all plans cancelled!
