I realise I haven’t updated people on my attempt to grow oyster mushrooms. Sorry to keep everyone in suspense. There has been an issue. I think it was caused by the person in Waitrose cafe putting my earmarked coffee grounds in the bin where although they were rescued quickly I fear they were contaminated. I am going to wait another week and then possibly consign my enterprise to the compost.

I don’t know why I am growing them I don’t like any mushrooms much, and oyster ones in particular.
