I really shouldn't get drawn into the Casper match. I need to leave to pick DD2 up very soon. She would be unimpressed if I made her walk home today of all days .

But it's nice to see both of them really- Casper definitely needs some wins under his belt though.

The sound on this match is terrible. Unless it's my tv. It sounds like it's under water.

Struff's kit is making me think of a licorice allsort.

The sound isn't right, when I put it on I thought I had accidentally muted it

Did Zverev choke* *on one of his necklaces?! I've said it before and I'll say it again, they are a bloody menace and I don't know how they can play tennis wearing them

I saw the last 45 minutes of Murray vs de Minaur yesterday (bloody shower and Andy was lucky laid back Mo was umpiring, the amount of sweary chuntering and racquet abuse from him would have been penalised by a few other umpires!) and I also thought the seating was weird.

Sascha coughing was very odd- it was like he swallowed a fly. But it didn't seem to affect him long term.

I only watched a bit of the Murray match and the commentary annoyed me. And I was very surprised after to see that there were no penalties for Andy's racquet smashing.

Beijing is general is odd. I know it outdoors- but the way the courts are designed, it always feels like an indoor one when you see it on the tv.

When Casper was playing, it felt like he was in a massive covered school sports hall.

Andrey and Grigor are lovely.

Apparently, he did receive a warning for racquet abuse earlier in the match, which is why he was extremely lucky not to be docked a point at the end of the match, especially in the tiebreak!

The courts are very closed in, Kazza- I don't know if they were designed by the same people who did the 'birds nest' Olympic stadium, because that looked like it had a roof- and didn't. The 'middle' gap bit seemed quite small, relatively speaking.

Maybe it's to stop pesky shadows.

Ugo has just beaten Andrey, Was quite a close match in the end.

Football on here today so I won't get to see any.

Glad Ugo seems to have recovered from his injury.

I want to see Sascha and ADF- all my plans for today are going pear shaped - we had planned an indian takeaway for DD2's birthday (dd1 was working yesterday, and at an open day today) -and DS was coming over. I've just remembered the trains are on strike. Dh can't go to get him- but can take him back- but now he's not answering. I've offered to pay for a taxi...

You think when they get to 18 they'll be less bother 🥹

I think he's been more bother in the last few years tbh .

I think the girls have both disappeared to their rooms, and if we decided to scrap all plans altogether, no-one would care.

And I would feel guilty we didn't do anything for her birthday.
