The sound is slightly out for me - I can hear them hit the ball just before I see them! Quitting the programme and re-entering hasn't helped 🙁

I want Medvedev to do bring it and make a match of it, but equally, if Djokovic is going to win, I'd rather he did it in 3. I don't want to stay up and watch five sets of Djokovic already winning. Medvedev, on the other hand, can take his time if he needs it. But I wouldn't say no to a repeat of two years ago! Either way, in less than eleven hours, there will be children in my classroom, and I'm hoping I've got more than a handful of hours sleep to deal with them on!

I am a Djokovic fan. I can absolutely see why he is disliked but as a player he's incredible and his mental strength is seriously incredible. I also liked Goran back in the day! Can't warm to Med.

I think so- they want a decent match and not a walkover probably.

Djokovic has a history of minor and major misdemeanours that have made him unpopular. Here are a few that spring to mind:
He organised a tournament during Covid lockdown and lots of people got really sick. He was the only top player to refuse to be vaccinated which was seen as irresponsible and fuelling the fire of anti-vaxxers everywhere. He then faked having covid to pretend he was eligible to enter Australia. He talks a lot of nonsense about how holding a slice of bread showed that he was gluten intolerant. He was defaulted at the US open for hitting a lineswoman with a ball. His manner on court is irritating and self-obsessed and his tennis is grindingly brilliant but yet also crushingly dull.
He cheated on his wife with their nanny (actually I am not sure that one is true but anyway, he cheated with someone)
I was talking to my coach yesterday and he says Djokovic is doping, however he also says all the top players do and that includes Nadal and Federer. I don't know how he knows this though.

😆 🤣 I did think twice! Like I say, I can totally see why he's disliked and I wouldn't be defending any of that. I thought is mimicking of Shelton on Friday was dreadful, but I still give him credit for his game.
