Oops got the title wrong in my first thread - have requested deletion

Starting tomorrow on itv1

“My Mum, Your Dad is a British dating reality show that is set to begin airing on ITV1 on 11 September 2023. It will be presented by Davina McCall and follows middle-aged single parents heading to a romance retreat for a second chance at love which is overseen by their children.”

From a Google for the show it appears there is already 1 season of the US called My Mom, Your Dad. So presumably the same format.

Anyone planning to watch?

Is this the show that was billed in the media as an upcoming middle aged Love Island earlier this year?

That is what I was going to say, don't like him showing off, turning it into the Martin show as Roger has just said. It's a no from me, first one I have not liked.

Not convinced by the new Martin - comes across as a bit full of himself and seems a bit quick to be jumping into a new relationship after just 6 months single. I think Monique may find him exciting initially but very soon realise that the other Martin is way nicer and more genuine.

Thinking that the new lady could be quite suited to Clayton in terms of energy and liveliness of temperament.

I suspect that lovely warm and funny Caroline may be one of those who leave early as they don't find anyone they really click with, which would be a shame.

Monique seemed genuine and modest. A bit of male attention and now she thinks she is a goddess. Her head has been turned by the wallet and lifestyle of Arrogant Martin. I hope Nice Martin gives her the elbow. This show is quite boring.

I feel sorry for New Martin's son. He's only 18 and potentially going to have to sit through some criticism of his dad, if he stirs things up a bit.

Yeah he's very arrogant and full of himself, he's the least attractive male on the show too. I don't like him.

I feel sorry for his son, known as Martin's son and not a person in his own right.

Totally agree about new Martin. My hackles went up immediately. And not sure about Monique either tbh. Which is a shame as her daughter seems really lovely.

It was so lovely seeing Monique and OG Martin, it all seemed so real with a real spark. But she flipped her feelings very quickly, which makes it seem she's in love with the idea of love rather than the person.

Janey and George are well suited. Caroline needs to step back a bit. George might be a slow burner with her but I'm not convinced that there's much there. She clearly fancies him, and that will put him off if he feels she's not even exploring any other options.

Whyyy have they done that? And it makes no sense anyway, given that you don't even wear school uniform to a school disco- so it was literally an excuse to get the ladies into short skirts and pigtails 🤬
