“My Mum, Your Dad is a British dating reality show that is set to begin airing on ITV1 on 11 September 2023. It will be presented by Davina McCall and follows middle-aged single parents heading to a romance retreat for a second chance at love which is overseen by their children.”

From a Google for the show it appears there is already 1 season of the US called My Mom, Your Dad. So presumably the same format.

Anyone planning to watch?

Is this the show that was billed in the media as an upcoming middle aged Love Island earlier this year?

I hope there's a follow up programme to let us know how it all worked out after leaving.

Nice ending, delighted Monique finally see the light. Janey in that dress looked amazing and I really hope those two manage to keep in touch and blossom together. I'd love to see a follow up program to see how they all got on in the outside world. Been a great watch.

Great you’ve all watched it now! I almost felt sorry for Martin at the end. He’s made his dream life in Ibiza based on what a bloke in the 90s thought was a dream life and now it feels a bit empty. I imagine it’s full of midlife men running bars and no sensible intelligent women will go near them. can’t imagine many 40-50 year old women live in Ibiza on their own?

Weren’t they all brave doing all that on tv? Amazing they had those intimate conversations while being filmed. Yet t did feel very genuine. Thought it was a good advert for how those of us in midlife are still alive and interesting!

Just finished watching absolutely lovely, felt quite teary. The 80's soundtrack and fantastic Sussex scenery (Sussex girl here by the way) ! Another series please. Also hope there is a follow up show to see if they are all still together.

Not sure how the secret gimmick will work in future. They’ll either have to pretend (which they may have done already to be fair - I think the show already existed in the US? And the name gives it away there is a focus on the kids) or just go in with knowledge that their kids are watching.

The show had US and Australian versions so I think the “astonishment” was a pretence.

I didn't realise this until this morning.

I watched the Aus version. We did it better.

Caroline is very active on Insta. I watched a story where she did a Q&A with Karli and a reel she'd done before where she said she did go on another date in the house, but it wasn't shown. She didn't say who that was with. They also denied any kind of relationship going on between any of the kids, but Caroline raised an eyebrow. No sign of any catch up and no news of any ongoing couples.

Zach reminded me of a cross between Roman Kemp and Barney Walsh. I could totally see him going into a media career, he was very easy in front of camera. All of the kids were to be fair. They really did come across as a great bunch with their heads screwed on, but sensitive with it.

I hope Luke's doing OK. I did spot that Martin's company the Ibiza Property Shop, was supporting him on X, but not making a big fuss over it.

I'm going to have to find the aussie version!

I reckon Martin m will set up in Bangkok 🙄

I’ve seen an update from Nathalie and Paul on Instagram that they split up in August.

I am amazed how well this show did in matching couples. It seems to have had such a good success rate in comparison with most dating shows
