My Mum, Your Dad

Oops got the title wrong in my first thread - have requested deletion

Starting tomorrow on itv1

“My Mum, Your Dad is a British dating reality show that is set to begin airing on ITV1 on 11 September 2023. It will be presented by Davina McCall and follows middle-aged single parents heading to a romance retreat for a second chance at love which is overseen by their children.”

From a Google for the show it appears there is already 1 season of the US called My Mom, Your Dad. So presumably the same format.

Anyone planning to watch?

Is this the show that was billed in the media as an upcoming middle aged Love Island earlier this year?

I went away on a long weekend, so have only just caught up on Friday, Monday and last night’s episodes just now

It did feel a bit like the Roger show for a bit there. But now he is comfortable with [forgot her name sorry] I hope the constant focus on him will die down a bit now.

Everytime Monique or Tolullah have been talking to the camera about the connection with Martin M they say something like “Im really attracted to Martin M” and I can’t help but add “and his property in Ibiza” at the end.

Speed dating - Martin M was saying the same flirty lines to them all! “Magnificent Monique!” “Something Sharon” I think were the ones we saw in the brief clips shown.

Hope both Monique and Tolullah bin of Martin M. Seems unlikely though. The preview of tonight isn’t looking good with Martin H being upset, I guess he’s missed out on Tolullah. As soon as the date was picked (I think it was a good idea for the kids to give Martin H the shot with her) my first thought is the psychology of seeing experts pick them two together will just make Martin M want to ‘win’ her.

Clayton seemed annoying touchy feely with Caroline when they left and saw the kids and were sat on the sofa next to each other. She didn’t look uncomfortable though. And looks like he gave Rogers daughter a ridiculous big hug? Strange

Logistical question:-

Do they make the contestants and the kids change into a specific interview outfit each day to film that segment or do they do the interviews after in one go and make them speak as if its present tense?

Monique is a fool - Tollulah moving in the right direction I think but not convinced martin H and her are long term prospect. I don't think they'd hurt each other though

good on luke coming up with integrity - feel sorry for him

Me too Theblack sheep, its bloody rare with our generation though, from what ive experienced!
(thats why ive taught my boys to communicate, and be honest with their girlfriends.. both in great long term relationships, so working so far)

I think Luke must have a great Mum, because he doesn't seem to be anything like his Dad. Did you see Martin M reach over to take Tollulah's hand, he couldn't even let Martin H and Tallulah have a moment together.
