Oops got the title wrong in my first thread - have requested deletion

Starting tomorrow on itv1

“My Mum, Your Dad is a British dating reality show that is set to begin airing on ITV1 on 11 September 2023. It will be presented by Davina McCall and follows middle-aged single parents heading to a romance retreat for a second chance at love which is overseen by their children.”

From a Google for the show it appears there is already 1 season of the US called My Mom, Your Dad. So presumably the same format.

Anyone planning to watch?

Is this the show that was billed in the media as an upcoming middle aged Love Island earlier this year?

I sit here watching it and it winds me up so much!

Not at all. I commented to my friend the other day how lovely I thought all the kids are. They seem to genuinely want the best for their parents and I think are being polite and respectful of each other.

Clayton seems the most fun - certainly he would be the one I would feel most at ease around and like I'd laugh a lot with him. No attraction there but I'd want to help him find someone in there. I wonder if Caroline is the female equivalent? Kind, nice, inoffensive, not egotistical, lovely to be around but not (to any of the men, it appears), dating material?

Hope they both individually find love in the future.

yes i'm going off her - she was abit harsh to nice martin and yet he was still an utter gentleman putting her at ease

i do want tallulah and monique to decide it's a no for player martin. His son seems so quiet and gentle though (probably embarrassed?)

not sure about janey and roger - both nice people but it's clearly too raw for roger and janey is as saver who won't get what she needs from roger

I never liked Monique and said from the beginning that I felt she was attention seeking. The running off crying just didn't feel genuine to me. She fooled me for a little while with the interaction she had with Martin H but I just don't think she's nice.

I mentioned that Caroline and Martin H would be good together a while ago. I just wish they could see it. I wonder who is going to be leaving?
