My Mum, Your Dad

Oops got the title wrong in my first thread - have requested deletion

Starting tomorrow on itv1

“My Mum, Your Dad is a British dating reality show that is set to begin airing on ITV1 on 11 September 2023. It will be presented by Davina McCall and follows middle-aged single parents heading to a romance retreat for a second chance at love which is overseen by their children.”

From a Google for the show it appears there is already 1 season of the US called My Mom, Your Dad. So presumably the same format.

Anyone planning to watch?

Is this the show that was billed in the media as an upcoming middle aged Love Island earlier this year?

I'm still catching up on this, but I have to say the kids are just great. What a lovely bunch. Really renews my faith in people.

The kids do seem lovely, I totally agree.

I would love to know though what they are really thinking. Especially about MeMeMartin. They can't say too much with his son sat there!

I can't see why Clayton is pursuing Sharon when she's set her cap at Elliot.

I can't stand the fake school girl look. The white socks and high heels are🤢.

God this is making me feel so grateful for DP and that if anything happens to us, I probably want to be single.

I know you prob won't want to say, but I wish I knew where she was from. She's not got a full-on Glaswegian accent, but not Edinburgh either. Her daughter is very Lanarkshire

I often say that if my husband ever died or left me that I don't think I could find anyone I love as much as him. Even now I find the majority of men I'm around just irritate me.

The first Martin on this has similar qualities to my husband I suppose. I always thought that the bigger the guy the gentler the nature but Martin 2 blew that theory of mine out the window.

I used to live in Dunfermline , she reminds me maybe East Kilbride but I'd say she's moved away and now lives elsewhere .

She's lovely anyway and I hope some more newbies come in with a nice kind bloke for her

I know these womens appearances have been mentioned already. I'm not bad looking when I'm done up but at my best I wouldn't be able to compete. Makes me feel if my husband died or left me that I would be fucked.

No, quite the reverse. I’m enjoying seeing their love and support for their parents and their wish for them them to be happy. I think they’re - on the whole - mature and sensitive young adults. It would help the parents if they had their kids’ level of emotional intelligence.

Yes I think that about the kids. How aware they are of their patents wants needs and struggles. It’s lovely to see. I think I enjoy watching the kids reactions more!

Not at all, I think the kids seem really lovely and care about their parents. Also really nice and supportive of each other.

Absolutely, don't give anything more away than what's out there. She's v familiar to me, but I'm not sure whether I've seen her or whether she's someone who everyone thinks they know 😍

Saw that in the DM! I think the kids are all coming across great 😊 well balanced bunch ! V thoughtful too Janey’s son is v young but seems to have a sensible outlook .

What a cute photo of them when they were young. It's so very sad. I hope he finds happiness again, if not in the mansion, at some stage. From looking at his wife, Janey looks like his type.

Although any famous guys I find attractive all look different. Some people don't particularly have a type.

Nothing on her bio about it - Natalie is a self-esteem and relationship recovery coach - so I doubt that very much.
