As Big Brother is set to return, what are your stand-out memories?

The 'civilian' version was my favourite telly show ever, especially the early series before the invasion of the wannabes. Not so keen on the celeb versions; those people are always 'on'. Loved the first season when it was all raw. Sada doing her goddess chant every bedtime. The chickens. Nichola naked body painting the wall. Nasty Nick's downfall.

My favourite contestant was Science in BB6, and he was in my favourite task - the box task. 'Shut up' 'No you shut up'.

Top evictions:
Maxwell being evicted when he totally thought it would be Science.
Big-head Sezer visibly shocked that he was evicted.
Grace getting the boot and chucking water over Susie she was so mad.
Kathreya [Happy House!] getting chucked out in her dressing gown to no crowd.

the Shilpa Shetty series was so upsetting to watch. Total lack of self
awareness from Jade Goody. Definitely racism. No question.

I remember Mel in the first series tweezing (tweezering?) her pubic hair in the garden.
Also I remember in series 1 they were allowed to bring in books.

bloody carol in bb7 very mainupalting cried everytime someone critised her cooking but she wo9uldnt let anyone else near the kitchen

after series 4 was when they banned books becaus that series became watching them read books every night

My 10 year old couldn't believe when I showed her Verne Troyer ramming the diary room door when he was steaming

My Mum has an ornamental chicken, very heavy. It's her kitchen doorstop. Marjorie. A friend and I drunkenly rehomed her around 2000. I'm not advocating crime I've grown up since then. It was in the local paper.
That chicken is my inheritance.

The season with Kitten, Bryan, Emma, Jason and Victor

that season was just explosion after explosion … I was watching the live feed when “fight night” occurred and security was called in - couldn’t believe what I was seeing!

Also I went to college with kitten (then known as Kat) and Bryan was my hairdresser! He didn’t really like being questioned about BB after it was over but it was all anyone wanted to talk to him about.

@Ozarkz I remember Kitten made out like she was from the wrong side of the tracks but I suspect she was actually quite middle class. That's the only series I ever watched too - fight night!!

I used to be a total BB fanatic, my fav or most memorable moments :

Fight night (victor is my favourite of all time, I think he has a chance to win until the fake wedding when he lost the plot and blew it)

David is dead (when I first watched it I couldn't stop laughing)

Science Derek and Maxwell bickerings , box challenge was great

Vanessa Feltz writing on the table (but I hope she was ok!)

John Mccririck - I just found him hilarious

Mo hitting poor Mikey with the baseball

I was sad when Vanessa (BB 2 or 3?) was evicted and it was one of the first times someone got evicted to boos and she looked terrified (and didn't really deserve it), I hated the boos even for those housemates I didn't like

I think BB5 was my favourite but I did love BB 1 too. Not so big a fan of 2-3

I lived the early series and particularly bb1 for its originality.
i particularly remember being in work (was in my 20s), when Nasty Nick stuff was going in - illicitly writing in a book - our boss wasn’t in snd we were all watching the live feed on our PCs!!
