I want to wake up early and catch the end of the Alcaraz match, but I also want to sleep as much as possible! Any advice on when to set an alarm for? 4:30? 5? I wish I had the means to watch on catch up!

It's down for starting at 1:30 at the moment and I reckon will go on for a minimum of 3 hours so 4.30?

They say 2 am start now

I went for 4:30, woke up and saw it was all but over (I think Alcaraz was up a break in the third) and so went back to sleep. According to the Sky schedual they're replaying it at 8:30... the exact time I start work! I think I'm destined not to see Alcaraz until the final now.

Having said that, on the TNNS app, the schedual for tomorrow seems to say Djokovic v Shelton at 8pm, followed by Alcaraz v Medvedev, rather than the second match being a separate night session. Anyone know if this is accurate?

Catching up on Twitter gives the impression Alcaraz was winning ugly last night. But then again, he's only dropped one set this tournament, so how bad can he be?

I like Patrick McEnroe doing the interview. He lets Carlos reply without interrupting him or rushing to the next question.

I aw the result in the early hours and have watched bits of the repeat as the day has gone on.

I have a feeling I will miss all of the semi final action- because the women's matches are scheduled for the night session, so I guess the men's will be too.

Mahut/PHH in the doubles though, followed by salisbury and Ram, so I will have something to watch .

I can imagine one of the men's matches being in the afternoon since fitting 2 men's matches into the night session is asking for trouble)- but given the weather/heat situation it would be a bit unfair on whoever drew the afternoon slot(and Daniil would have a lot to say).

They have both matches down for 8 which can't be right!

I can't imagine them being at the same time - because one would have to be on Armstrong- and they won't do that to Djok- but I can't see them doing that to Alcaraz either!

Well, I got to see 5 minutes of the men's doubles, because the Brit (who was bagelled in the first set) had a medical time out.
And now they 've switched back.

So, it looks like theyhave partially closed the roof- and Mahut has the doctor out. He doesn't look great.

It’s really hot here and I’m ironing! I’ve been putting it off all week but we’re going away tomorrow so can’t put it off any longer - now I know how a Daniil felt yesterday (well not really but it is hot!)

I really feel for Mahut- this has been such a good run, and they were ahead in the set earlier. Looks like it's all going to disappear now.

Is it the heat or the bug that's getting to him?

I'm not sure Jane. The heat is obviously bothering him, but I don't think that that is all it is. He seemed fine- and then he wasn't.
