Jane I hoping Rafa will be able to come back, and if it is to be his last year, play a 'farewell tour' on his own terms. No pressure, no daft suggestions he is going to win everything and end the year in the top 10. Just a dignified retirement.

I still think, hindsight being great, it's a shame he couldn't have retired with Roger at the Laver Cup last year. A double slam champion last year, a great run at Wimbledon. It would have been a a fitting high to go out on.

Tennis retirement is a funny thing really. For obvious reasons players rarely retire when they’re playing well (Ash Barty is a notable exception). However that means that what usually happens is formerly great players end up retiring after being knocked out early in tournaments.
