Following on from a similar thread about Friends quotes, I thought of start one about G&S.

What quotes do you regularly say from the show?

Here's some we (husband) say often:

When something happens that we don't expect "It's not what you expect when you go to [place] in the [time]."

"Oh my christ" to everything.

If husband is being annoying "You and me and going to fall out today Micheal"

These are the ones from top of my head.

I use a cracking Nessa ‘Oh!’ to get the kids’ attention in school😄 It has quite a remarkable effect!

‘very different people with very different ideas’. Said by Nessa about Obama and Osama to Neil the baby. Comes out when someone confuses two celebrities mostly.
‘I only went I for a Nano’ when shopping!
‘Stepbrother John’- at the mention of any John or opening any greeting card!

I’m afraid we also use ‘Sue! Big Fat Sue’ in Pam’s sing song voice when referring to one of the neighbours with that name. Lovely woman, no malice intended obviously.

I quoted "To me a korma is pointless" on a work chat recently and was met with silence. "Oh no, not G&S, don't like James Corden" heathens.

From the hen do. This is our most used one. If one of us says at the end of the day, the other one will finish it with this quote.

When we are ordering a Chinese we often quote Smithy's Chinese order 'chicken bhuna, lamb bhuna and prawn bhuna, mushroom rice, bag of chips, keema naan and 9 poppadoms'.

I'm laughing so much at these, DH and I quote G&S all the time.

One that comes up quite a lot is when our 3 year old is cross about something and will make a random, statement move to prove her annoyance, like lobbing a wooden egg on the floor and we say "that'll show them Pam!" She's started saying that one herself actually haha.

I agree about Dawn and Pete, they were so funny! The renewing their vows, calling him a poisoned dwarf 😄they made it even funnier!

Interesting my G+S quotes would rarely come from G+S. Mick, Pam, Nessa and Smithy with a few from Uncle Bryn maybe. Pam and Ness are probably most quotable.

My fave is when she's upset about watching Pet rescue and the mother badgers litter dying. And she's spent all day crying. It's the "I know what I saw and it's knocked me for six 😢.... Still, life goes on 😆.
And "they're here! The bastards are here!" For any workmen.
And "Oh my christ!" Use it daily 🤣
