Please recommend me a series to obsess over

Have been in a bit of a dry spell for a while; I am admittedly very fussy...!

I am not too bothered about genre (though comedy is least favourite); any drama really, sci-fi, thriller, historical... Though it has to have a really amazing script, well-written, believable, well-developed characters and, as a bonus, a flawed hero that I can fall a bit in love with... I do also get put off by poor IMDB scores 😅

I am a bit impatient, so if it hasn't gripped me by the first episode, I usually give up (though have given some a few episodes before doing so!).

@OliviaFlaversham I'm not going to lie, I binged it all in about 4 weeks... 🤣 I know what you mean about serena, she's so annoying - I love Blair tho, she and Chuck really grew on me. I find it hard to separate the actor who plays Dan from the character he plays in 'You' I find them both quite creepy!

Loving all the appreciation for The Americans - it is outstanding.
Also the best, if 4 shows can all be the best simultaneously:

The Americans is my all time watch once a year favourite.
I’d suggest giving Ozark and Homeland one more go to try and get into them.
If you get on with dubbing or subtitles I loved Money Heist - thinking of giving it another watch - and Lupin. I think they’re both on Netflix.

We are loving Hijack on Apple TV at the moment if you have it! DH NEVER watches more than one episode in one sitting ever however we've just been bingeing it as it's very compelling!

Homeland is great but I loved it from the start.
Six Feet Under is great if still available to watch.

Dexter - the 1st few series were great, then went off it, but there was a recent series new Dexter set in a different part of America- and that was really worth watching.

Yes, Six Feet Under is really good, it's on Sky/Now

How far did you get with homeland? It took me a little while but then I was obsessed and was genuinely really sad to finish it!
