Everyone posts when they’ve seen the episode so probably best to avoid the thread until you’re up to date.

I'm trying so hard to enjoy it I really am! But it's dire. Completely and utterly dire. I mean.. just a few examples...
Why all the fannying around with her and Aidan being in the wrong restaurants? What did that achieve? If it was meant to build up the tension it didn't work.
What in gods name is going on with Charlotte and her revolting brat spawn? Will there be any consequences re: the brownies? I think KD might actually be having a stroke irl if her acting is anything to go by.
Miranda and the cat shit. She would have been out of that apartment in ten seconds flat. And so would the 35 year old Miranda.. and don't pretend otherwise!
I could go on. And on and on and on. Carrie just seems like an empty vessel and I don't believe Aidan would go back with her in a million years after she broke his heart.. twice!

Yes the fannying on about wrong restaurants confused me and I have questions.

Why did the wrong restaurant have a booking under Aidan Shaw? Why did carry stand on the street like a lemon after being pointed towards the right restaurant? Why did she say he hasn’t aged a day - he has (I would though he’s well fit 😆)? It was meant to hoodwink us into thinking he’d stood her up but given we’ve seen the promo photos and trailers all about Aidan we knew there’d been a misunderstanding!

I thought the tantrum about her living in the same place was silly. It’s been what 20 years since he lived there. Surely he’d have moved on?!

I did think they had great chemistry though and always preferred him to boring, average looking, dad-joke, commitment phobic, philandering bloody Big.

Also Charlotte’s girls - what a pair of absolutely bratty little shitbags.

what the fuck was going on with Aiden? His face and that goth safari jacket belted to within an inch of its life was cringe.

Charlotte will need an enormous coffin that accommodates padded parachute dresses or resign her self to the fact that affected clashing plaid will be involved.

LTW looked absolute knockout in that red jumpsuit. She is a stunning woman.

Meh, apart from Anthony, Carrie's hair, the occasional Seema zinger and a few good outfits, it's all total bollocks. Sadly feel I'm back to hate watching it again.

The Giuseppe story with Anthony and Drew was really funny… childish I suppose, but funny.

Lisa’s story about her son and his girlfriend was so boring. Who cares?

I’ve not seen John Corbett in anything since the second SATC film in 2010 so i was surprised to see him look older. He looks good for 62 but I always think of him in his late 30’s, when he was in SATC. I didn’t like his hair much in this episode, he looks better with short hair.

Jaysus, Aiden has had a lot of work done and his hair is dreadful. Soz JC!

Not sure I completeky bought it after that but that moment where Carrie walked into Aidans arms and that hug...it felt very genuine and lovely and sort of 'there you are'. I have my own tall drink of water with whom I have history and connection and it felt very 'true'. And when he kissed her hair....❤

@theleafandnotthetree me too! for a long time my life had major parallels with Carrie. I also chose Mr Big (who also has a bloody peloton obsession 😂) but I can’t imagine calling ‘my Aidan’ if he died… you separate for a reason. Plus, he’d probably tell me to fuck right off.

I agree that the hug although implausible was lovely though. I’d say that the writers have included all of the old hits to satisfy original fans like me and I’m good with that.

Regarding the restaurant I assumed that they went along with her having a booking because it was valentines night and they were under booked (probably because of the terrible staff 😂)… plus if you looked closely there were business meetings taking place, it wasn’t all tables for two. Either that, or like LTW’s Lazurus-like Dad, the writers just don’t think the storylines through…

In the first scene in the restaurant, Carrie and Charlotte do ask 'should we not be assuming 'only ladies'?' and Miranda says 'it's not like I was married to Steve and fantasising about <Brady's friend's hot mum>'. So they seem at least aware of the possibility of Miranda being bisexual.

That said, Charlotte goes on to tell her to 'figure it out' so she can find love again .. is this really what even Charlotte would say to a friend who had shitcanned her decades-long marriage having an affair, mere weeks after the affair ended and long before the divorce is finalised?

Even when Che picked up a cute stray, carried it to a rescue where they used to work, had cute banter with the vet there and accepted their old job back in a cute way it STILL wasn’t enough to make me like them.

That nonsense with the the very attractive Franklin about the party invitation made my teeth itch but those scenes with Aiden last night were risible.
