Def think this series is an improvement, they seem to have toned down the 'woke' a touch- I know NY is diverse, but if felt a bit 'how much diversity can we cram in here' still hate the Che character- still marvel at SJPs hair!! Still love Anthony and Harry. (I loved him in Californication too) Would love Miranda to turn up in a power suit and say bollocks to all this I'm off for an interview at xxx (insert suitable law firm or human rights or something) one thing I have noticed is that Carrie always annoyed me in SATC but in this I actually think she's the most natural actress of the lot.

Just caught up on the last two! Definitely found its stride and loved the snow. Hope we get more NYC in winter/Christmas.

The snow dresses were stunning, they looked quite Dickensian. As if walking through the snow isn't hard enough.. I think Charlotte's event would have suited a few layers of leggings/trackie bottoms and a puffa jacket.

Not yet warmed to Lily. Everything she says is bratty. And going from taking a week to insert a ceremonial tampon, to announcing over breakfast she is planning to lose her virginity, was a bit much.

The previous episode with the tech guy on the bike, I thought he was a real dick to Carrie. She apologised a hundred times! Did anyone else notice the music they used in a comedy segment - it was the same as in SATC when Charlotte finds the courage to go naked in the sauna!

Liked a bit of classic Miranda throwing her toys out the pram when she realises Steve can pull when he's single.

I think the Aiden storyline will be great.. will he still feel like second choice, will his ex make an appearance, how will his boys accept Carrie, will their old issues resurface.

I'm invested.

Well today’s episode was delightful.

Yays this week:
-ALL of LTW’s wardrobe and outfits. The red jumpsuit was sensational 😍
-LTW handling Herbert Jr’s boundary-less girlfriend 👏👏
-Charlotte realising she needs to get a job and “get Carrie to pick out what I’m buried in” 😂
-Glimpses of the old Miranda at last
-Anthony and Guiseppe Oh my! 🍆
-Aiden’s sudden appearance was a bit swoon
-I liked the way that Aiden was sensitive to Big’s death but then stood his own ground
-Carrie’s dinner outfit
-Miranda’s date dress
-Seema telling the wellness centre how it is 😂

Nays
-Che still being in it and the unbelievable storyline that someone with literally zero self awareness wouldn’t be able to get back into comedy and instead returns to being a veterinary nurse? What about the podcasts?
-Nya’s lack of storyline
-Seema’s rare outfit miss this week. She looked like a Samantha parody from 1998 and was deeply unflattering when everything else she wesrs is so fabulous…
-the unbelievable storyline that Aiden and Carrie somehow had unfinished business. She dumped him.. they could never be equal
-Lily’s attitude. Can’t believe that either Harry or Charlotte would be happy raising either kid with those attitudes….
-Miranda buying a second hand bed but then covering it with a limited edition £3kish Hermes blanket 🤔

I only know a couple of teenagers well…. And this seems to sum up my experience!

there were some weird inconsistencies in the TV show too.

Carrie and Aiden broke up when Miranda was very heavily pregnant. Like 2 episodes before. At the end of season 4.

Season 5 was a short season but seemed to span a long time. We learn that Aiden dated Nina Katz The Face Girl for a few weeks after Carrie dumped him.

Brady turns 1 half way through Season 6 - yet in the first episode of season six Carrie bumps into Aiden, his new baby and he’s waiting for his wife.

So in probably less than a years he’s dated Nina Katz, met Cathy, married and had a baby - and Brady isn’t yet 1!

Definitely enjoyed today's episode, minimal Che and away from Miranda they are far less annoying.

Some rewriting of history, though - 30 something Miranda would not have put up with that bullshit, whatever 50 something Miranda says. And as you say @Netaporter , the idea that Carrie and Aiden have unfinished business. They had unfinished business. Then they got back together again. Then they finished. Why would she jump back into bed with him? That is just a disaster waiting to happen. Why is she so amazed to be reconnecting with someone she hasn't seen for 13 years? She's in her mid-50s, there ought to be people (like Karen last week) that she hasn't seen for 30 years, 13 isn't that amazing.

As ever, it feels like too many storylines in too short a space of time, so nothing gets the airtime it deserves. Is that the end of the Herbert Jr storyline? And Rock's modelling? No repercussions for Lily's friend bringing pot brownies into the house without warning? Where's Steve gone again, aren't he and Miranda in the process of divorcing now?

Watched half the episode on my lunch hour.

i LOVE Harry shouting that Charlotte is the love of his life. But sorry my new favourite couple is Herbert and LTW. I could actually watch a spin off with just these 2.

Can’t wait to see Aiden’s return! I always loved him.

That was one of the best episodes yet. I'm starting to wonder if Miranda and Nya will get together by the end of the series!

Laughed a lot this week, may be the funniest episode so far

I rarely enjoy Charlotte but 'if I die, get Carrie to choose what I'm buried in!' was great 😂

LTW was having none of the heavy petting in the school yard. And she told Little Miss to get right out of her closet too 👍

LOVED Seema's whole argument about the bullshit of Valentine's Day - wonderful

I loved this episode- really good fun and lots of laughs.

I loved Carrie’s coat that she wore to meet Aiden - all the flowers stitched into the hood, so pretty!

I love Drew Barrymore’s cameo - Anthony is such a shot of fun, he really lifts the show.

I can’t believe how rude Charlotte’s kids are - I have a 15 yr old and an 11 yr old and I’ve never met a child as rude and obnoxious (and I’ve met a few very ‘cherished’ children over the years)

Thank God Charlotte is going to get a job, I don’t think I can watch anymore of her ridiculous over parenting.

Have they made Che an animal lover to make her more sympathetic to the viewers? I cannot understand why she doesn’t do stand up about her show being cancelled - it’s a perfect subject to get her back in stage.

Yes, Che was big enough for a Netflix standup special in the last series, but one failed pilot and she’s out of show business? I thought loads of pilots fail?
Loved Anthony, Drew and Giuseppe.
Loved everything Carrie wore especially her fabulous silk coat at the restaurant.
Coveting her fantastic multi coloured knitted blanket too.
I know she went back to her apartment as a comfort after Big, and had the horrid place from Seema…but I just can’t buy ‘very rich lady with previously cavernous Upper East Side palace, who drops Enid £100k without flinching’ living there.

Maybe Aidan’s reaction is the precursor to getting a new place? Or at least an episode of soul searching.

Loved Anthony and drew this week. Drew's eyes popping out of her head at guiseppe really made me laugh. Love Anthony's baguette phone too - reminded me of the burger phones from the 90's.

Nya didn't get much of a show this week but I loved that she did what she wanted for valentine's day and seemed perfectly happy doing that - almost reminiscent of the independence of Miranda 1.0.

Yes Miranda gaslighted herself by claiming 35yo Miranda was desperate - she was the member who tolerated the least BS. She’d have been gone the minute the woman stepped in cat poo. Now 35yo Carrie would have stayed. Definitely not Miranda.

That was one of the worst episodes of any show I’ve ever seen, not just AJLT.

Disjointed scenes, wooden, stilted dialogue. I thought Charlotte was going to explode she was shrieking and gurning so much.

The scene with Che talking to the woman at the animal rescue place just went on and on, thought they were going to break into song.

What was the point of Nya, all she did was make a soufflé.

I was underwhelmed by Aidan, they could have made their date so sparky and fun but it just fell flat.

Cat Lady was quite funny though.
