Carrie moping over Big. He was an asshole for 85% of their relationship and she’s a better human without him by her side.

Herbert and LTW - I LOVE this couple. Excellent chemistry, supportive, funny, kind - a pleasure to watch
Seema - a very satisfactory replacement for Samantha. More funny bedroom antics would be good
Harry - aside from Herbert, he’s the best husband.

My XH had an identical Belstaff waxed jacket with a belt in the late 80s when he rode a motorbike. It was a nasty, greasy garment, but very practical. I can't believe they are fashionable! I'm getting flashbacks to XH wearing his, and not in a good way 😱

The Aidan storyline is so lazy.

They broke up because she basically didn't love him and chose Big! Why don't they just go the whole hog and bring back the Russian artist?!

She did love him (although she treated him terribly) but it wasn’t the right time for her. And TBF He did push her and wasn’t willing to wait until she was ready. It’s the only time I’ve sided with Carrie - the hurry to move in and get Mauied (😉) was very intense for someone who was quite clear she wanted to take it slow.

@Whiskeypowers sadly not. He purchased it unsupervised and looks like 95% of men his age when he wears it to Twickenham 😂 The other purchase he made unsupervised were some turquoise suede trainer style shoes from Grenson or similar which he was sent back to change out of the other day on the grounds he resembled a giant toddler when he wore them with shorts…sigh.

I thought when Herbert ushered LTW out of the closet he was going to give a soft 'i know your mother is being precious but maybe just stay out of her closet to keep the peace' but he had her back and I loved that.

Yes it’s SO refreshing to see a man on TV be a genuine ally to his wife.

I called this a few weeks ago- I actually think they’ll have a ‘the one’ episode like she had with Steve. Yes, you’re so right @Needhelp101 Nya is Miranda 1.0, the chocolate cake (throwback to the ep of retrieving the Betty Crocker mix from the bin), being comfortable and content with her own company, staying home in her comfort zone.

LTW is the new Charlotte. Thought she had some great scenes this week, including nailing the parenting of teens and owning the fact her kids are privileged, but by saying no to the hotel, it was a subtle nod to not enabling them to become brats like Rock and Lily. Charlotte really needs to start that new job asap!

Che loves animals and is now totally different to her performance persona. We are meant to be seeing her as Carrie’s friend and trying to find her happy place again. I actually thought it was better for the actor this week, not having to play such a heightened version of Che.

Anthony and Drew were the highlight this week, I’d almost forgotten he ran the bakery. The lowlight was Aiden and Carrie’s no-chemistry, dull dinner date. It did nothing for me and why would you not say, well this is my home, if you want me you’ll follow me up the stairs and come see the floor you sanded still going strong. It seems inevitable that he’ll dump her in a reverse of what she did to him.

Why would he even have his jacket on, when he's just popped out on to the street to let Carrie know where he is - let alone all zipped up like this?

@WeetabixTowels she certainly didn't love Aidan enough to justify this reunion.

I remember he was pretty much giving her the ick towards the end "I ate too much chicken" etc.

Forgot to mention before - Charlotte’s kids are so rude to her. Rock calling her gross because she complained about a 30 minute delay (I would too), Lily saying “I don’t want it” when Charlotte bought her a cake (where is the ‘thanks anyway’) and telling Charlotte to leave her own home because her mere presence is ruining everything. Writing a Moana song about privilege (so pleased she got made fun of for that shite-fest of a song). Having a strip because they won’t just hand her an expensive keyboard. Why is Charlotte tolerating this?! They were the same brats last season. She needs to channel LTW and hand out harsh consequences.

I also have to say if my DD was too dim to remember condoms she’d be getting told to go get them herself in the snow.

There are too many main characters. 6 of them, maybe 7 if you include Anthony? It means most of their storylines are given zero room and their characters zero space to develop. What was the point of Seema and the law professor in this episode? Some of them have turned into women they would have despised in SATC days - obsessing over where to stay in the Hamptons. There is none of the New York grit which made the first one feel so grounded.

I liked Aidans jacket- clearly I'm the only one!!
