It. will cut to post dinner, when everyone has left. Carrie's taking a last look around. Suddenly, she'll hear pebbles hitting the window. Aiden is down below. Either he will come up, and they will spend a night together in the old apartment, and get closure on their former relationship, or they will both head off to the new apartment and start their new life together.

Yes, good point @Lottapianos . I did at first think that Aiden was playing some sort of revenge game by getting Carrie to sell her beloved flat before dumping her. But it is not unrealistic for him to decide leaving his youngest with access to farm tools, shotguns and his ex wife would be a bad mistake.

I'm confused about the layout of Carrie's apartment. I don't think it is a studio, but possibly a one bedroom with some of the walls removed.

It was a studio when Aiden moved in back in the day. Remember when she asked him for an hour where he didn’t speak to her when she came home and she drew a curtain between the bed and the chair he was sitting in.

If you click on the image of the floorpan, it gives different versions - one in black and white, where you can see the bathroom in blue and the bathroom suite showing a loo. You can also do a virtual walk through of the apartment. I would like to claim technical wizardry for knowing this, but I only know because I managed to smack my chin on my keyboard, and the alternative images all came up 😂

Well colour me surprised! I always loved Aiden and thought Carrie had bags more chemistry with him than Big in the early days - although rewatching the serieses she does have a great ease with Chris Noth - but was thinking he looked a bit ropey now. Bo Derek! Blimey.

PS. I miss Samantha. I love Seema but she’s not Sam even though they’re trying to make her so. The highlight of the entire two series of AJLT is Kim Cattrall’s cameo, for me.

And Charlotte used to be so fucking stunning. Now she slurs like a drunken sailor and is barely intelligible because of all the shit she’s had done to her face.

@dayswithaY I believe KC refused to appear in any scenes with all 3 of the ladies, not just SJP.

I understood that KC’s cameo is in the back of a Limo. I assumed it was a ‘I’m on my way’ sort of thing? Assumed she makes seat number 16 at Carrie’s last supper because Aidan is about to dump her selfish arse on the stoop.

PF I think publicly said she backed KC over SJP and then took the ‘Emily in Paris’ gig.

This does feel like an end to the show, and if it is, at least it’s going out on a medium high - the end of season 6 was perfect. Then the first movie was average. The second movie a disaster and the first season of AJLT tanked, so at least it can hold its head high if this is the end

Interesting that PF didn’t back SJP purely for professional reasons - they made each other fashion icons. I wonder if she bore witness to whatever behaviour gave rise to the rift between KC and the others. I heard it was about her saying something (fairly innocuous) about Cynthia Nixon’s having given birth, and the other 3 taking umbrage with it. Seemed pretty petty, but maybe there were other problems too. They are amazing actors, because you never once doubt the on screen friendship (at least not in the original series of SATC).

Much as I hate to say it, I hope it’s the end too. If they do another series, I’ll have to watch it and where can they go from here? They’ve taken Carrie down a romantic cul-de-sac with Aidan and the others, well - who knows who Miranda is now and they can’t do much with Charlotte.

The new characters - meh, they’re just background (except Seema, who they should have done more with).
