Everyone posts when they’ve seen the episode so probably best to avoid the thread until you’re up to date.

It's cable TV, and discussion/depiction of a fictionalised abortion is free speech under The First amendment, so I don't think individual state laws that ban actually obtaining an abortion apply.

I am so sad that next week is the last one, am largely enjoying this now - although this week’s did seem to be a bit back to shoving gender issues down our throats. Hope there will be a Season 3.

Naughty Charlotte mis-gendered Rock though, said she or her in relation to needing the notebook, before reverting to they or them - surprised that wasn’t called out, given the general tone of the episode.🤣

Comics really are never funny when they make their whole act about their own gender/race/weight/whatever. Seems very lazy, and completely unfunny.

As others have said, Aiden’s acting beyond dreadful.

I also agree with a PP that the subject of ‘im so happy to have choice’ wouldn’t come up in a personal conversation with a husband and wife. Such a cop out! All US TV shows do this - talk about abortion then cop out with a miscarriage.

I can think of one very brave exception. Crazy ex girlfriend (Spoiler warning if you haven’t got to the pregnancy bit). Paula is in her 40’s and has 2 (awful) teenage sons and after having been an amazing paralegal for donkey’s years is about to train to become a lawyer. Then falls pregnant. They do the usual half-talk about it before deciding to keep the baby and put off college. Then she fills in for a colleague in court and the judge tells her she will be an amazing lawyer. The next scene her husband and sons are consoling her after the abortion. It was so bravely done (and she goes on to be an amazing lawyer!)

Off topic but I honestly don’t know. I’ve just had a very much wanted pregnancy in New York and felt so grateful to live in a state where I could access care to save my life as a priority if something went wrong. I refused to travel to states where abortion was banned after reading about a women who had to develop sepsis and nearly die after her waters broke at 18 weeks but the baby still had a heartbeat. My husband and friends do discuss these things, sad state the country is in.

I'm confused about the layout of Carrie's apartment. I don't think it is a studio, but possibly a one bedroom with some of the walls removed. There should probably be a wall between the bedroom and the bit she writes in. The massive closet has eaten a huge part of the bedroom.

Lisa and Herbert are there at the last supper. Plus that odd fellow from the podcast and his Dunelm Blinds designer wife. Che, Lisette, Seema plus Ravi, Anthony plus BF, Nya (who in the. lobby. meets the gorgeous fellow from CSI who she met in the bar that time). Charlotte, Harry and Miranda. Carrie. That's 15. Plus Samantha? Aiden?

This is a floor plan/virtual walkthrough of the original apartment. The lobby/entrance-way bit of the new TV show apartment (which I realise is meant to be the same place!) seems bigger, although not big enough to accommodate that voluminous coat!

Hope it’s not a spoiler but I’m sure I read somewhere that confirmed Samantha’s location in relation to the plot. Rather than it was shot in NY/California etc.,Kim Cattrall was filmed in…x’.
I think it was from an article about Patricia Field. Didn’t Kim request for her to dress Samantha as part of the deal?

I read KC and PF went shopping at Bergdorf Goodman for her cameo appearance outfit- as opposed to something from a London brand. I'll be amazed if Samantha is not supposed to be arriving in NY for the the last supper - as she did in the SATC movie, when she arrived from LA when Carrie was selling up - "A lot of shit went down in this apartment - attention must be paid!"

Yes I think a lot of people are hoping for that scenario! I’ve written it clumsily but the location I saw wasn’t geographical if you see what I mean. Eg she was filmed at a desk/in the bath/outside a restaurant. That sort of thing. I won’t say more in case it’s a spoiler. Or I’ve imagined it 😂

@GellerYeller I just hope that however they shoe horn in Samantha, that it makes sense! There's an air of finality about it all. I feel sad about that, which is very unexpected. I hope they have not decided to cancel AJLT, just when it had got into a good groove.

I thought I read that Samantha is on the phone for her brief cameo. She refused to film any scenes with SJP so she definitely won’t have a seat at the table, unless they use CGI.
