Everyone posts when they’ve seen the episode so probably best to avoid the thread until you’re up to date.

The nanny turning out to be a lesbian and thus allaying all charlottes fears that Harry might cop off with her- I felt the storyline the last episode of AJLT was reminiscent of that. Charlotte was stressed about not looking good in the dress with the belt, and eventually bought a load of Spanx, but as soon as she met the leader of the gallery she felt absolutely fine about it, because the lady was on the larger side and had a grungy style. At once Charlotte felt confident and comfortable with her body and new outfit, and binned the Spanx (how bloody wasteful!!)

So my take on it was all you need is someone who doesn’t look as good as you in your opinion and voila.

I'm genuinely not using hyperbole when I say that SATC2 is one of the worst films ever made.

No wonder Kim Cattrall never wanted to return after that shit show

Absolutely loved Kermode's rant. Wish I'd just watched that instead of the film. If KC were ever wavering about 'should I go back or not?' she should just put that on and that will settle the matter forever.

I don’t think it was filmed in Abu Dhabi. I assume they had no say over being the destination for the world’s most shallow holiday.

@Ridemeginger i’ve actually stayed many times in the hotel in Morocco it was filmed in. Idris Elba had part of his adding there also. It is just lovely 🥰

Ooh, that makes me jealous - it looked beautiful! I hope you have had a great time there. I will have to look it up, now I know it’s not in Abu Dhabi, and put it on my wish list. I do have one of the Halston Heritage dresses Carrie wore in the film, not sure I’ve got the waistline to pull it off anymore, sadly - I need some of Charlotte’s Spanx!

My only criticism of the article @Whenwillglorioussummercome links to is that it doesn't point out that even the first, wincingly dreadful sequence in which Stanford marries Anthony is a huge affront. Not just the horrendous stereotyping of the event, with Liza appearing, but the simple fact that Stanford and Anthony never even liked each other. It was purely a 'marry off the token gays'. Dreadful.

@Ridemeginger it is the Amanjena. I meant wedding obvs. I also got the Halson white dress as a gift for my 40th from DH. I never slimmed down enough to be able to wear it. Still languishes in my wardrobe.I’m over 50 now 😂

I hated the Anthony / Stamford pairing. It never made sense.
