I wasn’t sure on the Seema/Aidan theory but thinking back no one introduced them to each other at the restaurant. He just got her a chair and she said ‘Aidan I love you already’ or something like that. It struck me as a bit odd he/Carrie didn’t instigate any ‘nice to meet you’ situation. We shall see.

Because when Americans say “I’m Italian/Irish/Scottish” they normally haven’t been anywhere near Italy Ireland or Scotland, but they’re 5th generation Italian. They certainly can’t speak the language!

I think an affair may be on the cards or they have a romantic history. When Seema walked into the restaurant Aidan looked like he was besotted by her and Seema's expression was similar.

I've tried to listen to the Every Outfit podcast but I just can't get into it, I listened to their rewatches of the old SATC episodes and there's far too much modern outrage at things that were perfectly normal back then.

I thought it was sad that Carrie is considering Big a mistake now, for all the reasons others have said. I didnt particularly like Big or Aidan (different strokes for different folks) but her thought process on this one is just crap.

Also, she clearly wants Aidan to say it back to her. Now, both my DP and me had car crash marriages resulting in children, and we both agree that despite the bad marriages, having our respective kids made it worth it. Surely Aidan would feel that way about his own kids, but he hasn't said a thing.

Charlotte with her non existent 'fat' stomach looks far better than I do at 38, that was a bit of a bum note for me. Gorgeous dress though. Did anyone else notice that LTW's mustard coat was so long it was dragging on the floor when they entered the shop?

I've rewatched it and still think this! 🤔 Doesn't seem like such a moment to me really. Anyone else?

Also, Berger 😫 He was the worst tho that relationship did give the brilliant post it episode 'I'm sorry, I can't, don't hate me' I remember I was to record the (repeat) episode for a housemate that had misses it but the vcr didn't work so I left the same message on a post it for her when she got home 😂

@mikado1 I love that episode. Carrie ranting to Berger’s friend about the post it, and his totally nonplussed response, her getting arrested for ‘smoking a doobie’, Miranda’s skinny jeans… proper comedy. AJLT seems to leave the comedy to Charlotte and some pithy quips from Anthony. That’s what this show is missing compared to SATC I think.

And she kept going back to the friends to try to get some satisfaction/closure and then sticking the postit to the window of the cop car. I know I'd laugh out loud if I watched that again now.

Does anyone listen yo And Just Like That The Writers Room? It's the best podcast, as it's by the writers. There's even an episode with SJP, Kristin and Cynthia

I never know with this show whether they make Carrie a deliberate twat or whether they think she’s great.

She is massively on the rebound, Big is no more a mistake than he ever was, and Aidan remains minge-sealingly icky as ever in my book. Spiritually he’s always been wearing that dreadful coat for me.

I think it would be delicious if Berger made his literary come back with a book based on his relationship with Carrie. How could she object, after she’s monetised every one of her relationships? It would be the clash of the narcissists.

It’s that thin, straight line, disapproving mouth that gives me Aiden ick. That and eating kfc in his underwear in bed.

Mind you I think you lot are giving too much credence to the cleverness of this show and its foreshadowing. I don’t think the writing is strong enough to drip us clues - after all we’ve been waiting 1.5 series for them to announce that Harry has some sort of disease 🤣

I’ve been rewatching series 3-4 when Carrie was dating Aidan both times.
They had a charming relationship in series 3 but she of course cheated on him loads.
But in season 4 it’s like she hates him. It’s uncomfortable viewing, she doesn’t even want him near her half the time.
WHY is he going back now?!

Do you remember when they got engaged and she refused to wear the engagement ring on her finger? She put it on a chain and wore it as a necklace pendant.
