Why is Ep93 shown Monday 7 August from 2003 and then the next episode I have on my planner is Ep96 and it says it's from 2004. We've not had Christmas of 2003 yet. Have I missed something?

I was a tad confused as the last episode I saw on Tuesday had Vera with purple hair and today her hair was as normal 🤷‍♀️

Just watched the one where Jack and Vera didn’t win a luxury house and Les didn’t break up a fight - it was like Carry on Corrie but much worse. I never used to miss it but don’t bother much now sadly, it was really good -

I cannot stand Vera at the minute. Ok yes she's lost a lot of money but she's constantly moaning and shouting and being plain nasty to Gail. She actually gives me the rage when I see her.

She played Vivienne in Doctors, the receptionist who was in the awful, but incredibly well acted, rape storyline.

Same cancan also so bored with Joe and Karen. I just want to see the outcome of the Les/Mick storyline as I don’t remember that at all from first time round.

funny I’ve recently stopped watching Classic Eastenders which is also at 2003. They must have gone crap at the same time.

Was just catching up on episodes I’d missed. I had to laugh when Vera took Eileen to the allotment to see jack and she said to Eileen “ oh Jacks growing orgasmic vegetables “ 🤣 nothing said afterwards 🤣

I can’t remember how the Mick/Les and Joe Carter stories pan out. I wasn’t watching much in May 2003. I’m quite enjoying not knowing.

Katie is such an unappealing young woman. Not looks-wise obviously, but the eye rolling, harrumphing and snark. Why does anyone want to hang about with her?

I don't remember the ending of the Joe Carter storyline either. I was thinking at one point that Karen was going to spill the beans to Baldwin, as she seemed to be quite panicky about what they were doing. Carter seems to be lining her up to be the fall guy if it all gets found out, with her being the one forging the signatures.

I didn’t realise Curly Watts turned so nasty. Sanctimonious twat, I’d have told Emma to LTB.

This I think was at the peak of his alcoholism too and apparently he was almost always pissed on set.

Kevin Kennedy struggled, I remember that. He’s in Rock of Ages now I think. He’s had a great musicals career since CS. He’s one of the successful CS alumni like Suranne.

I was thinking of Rob James Collier the other day, who landed a lead role in Downton Abbey after Corrie but then seemed to vanish. I think I saw him in an ep of Vera but nothing else.

I thought the police sticking up for one another was quite a modern storyline. Going on assorted news stories!

I feel sorry for Emma. Rock and a hard place. Curly should be more supportive and understanding.

That’s what I like about the Mick and Les storyline - I feel very conflicted about everyone’s behaviour. Sometimes I feel sorry for Emma but then I feel more sorry for Les, and sometimes I agree with Curly and sometimes I think he’s being a prick. They are doing a good job of showing the different sides. I hate Mick though.

Ah so glad I've found this thread! I've been watching classic Corrie for a while now and loving it. I haven't watched any of the current ones before so it's all new. I'm a couple of episodes behind at the mo.

I'm really intrigued @cancan678 I have no idea what the story line is that you're referring to but I have sensed some inappropriate vibes between 2 particular characters and wondering if it is to do with this 😳
