Hi, I've been watching some old episodes this week before the new series starts tomorrow night. What's everyone's favourites? I know there's so many. I watched Sardines last night I love that one think it's so funny and clever poor Stinky John. And Wuthering Heist, really clever writing and twists. I think the only one I wasn't pushed on was the Devil of Christmas.

What a troll! :-D
Still, i'm not going to lose my head over it! :-/

Er it's a weird one for Ino9 (but 3x3 is 9 )

The winning team were odd from the start , very acor-ey not natural contestants .
Not one I can be arsed re watching TBH .

MaudGone · 18/05/2023 22:33

Haven't seen the ending yet, I'm predicting it's something to do with the student character cheating

I agree it's not worth a rewatch but it was clever and they should have done it as a special at a more "quiz time" time of day/night

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/05/2023 22:35

Loads of people switched over with the Live Hallowe'en episode then realised what was going on later .

Namechangenumber2345 · 18/05/2023 22:36

I know, I still don't know why. These guys are clever always expect something extra from them.

Spookyseason · 18/05/2023 22:49

As a fan of quiz shows and horror films, I'd watch this 😂

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 18/05/2023 23:01

I have only watched a few episodes here and there but was specifically wanting to watch tonights episode, as I am a big fan of on the buses and 70s comedy in general. I am confused tho. I didnt watch the whole show, was it an inside joke or a spoof or something?

MaudGone · 18/05/2023 23:04

The announcer said they switched episodes, but didn't say why

PearPartridge · 18/05/2023 23:05

Good ending. I hope there will be an On the Buses episode.

EsmaCannonball · 18/05/2023 23:06

I heard the words 'Lee Mack' and 'quiz' and switched right over to the news. It was only when I had a look on Twitter to see why the Robin Askwith episode had been cancelled and saw that the quiz was called 3 X 3 that I thought 'Ohhh!'. I'm not going to spoil it for anyone, it was a clever concept but I'm not sure it's one of those ones that will bear much repeating because it is just like watching an awful daytime quiz presented by Lee Mack.

I'm now hoping that they will actually do one with Robin Askwith.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 18/05/2023 23:10

Is it worth watching or is it going to be lost if I am not a regular viewer?

Namechangenumber2345 · 18/05/2023 23:13

If you want to watch it so you can say you've seen every episode then watch it, but you won't miss much by skipping it.

Name99 · 18/05/2023 23:15

It tricked me, I started watching it thinking it was a games how, then thought this can't be real...
But where was the hare?

MaudGone · 18/05/2023 23:22

I don't think there was ever an "On The Buses" episode, judging by what Reece says on twitter...

<spoiler alert>

A picture of it was flashed briefly onto one of the game show big screens a few seconds before the end

Can you share it for those of us not on twitter please?

PearPartridge · 18/05/2023 23:32

I thought it was obvious from early on there was something going on with the Oakwoods with the parents being controlling so I enjoyed watching to see it unfurl.

There won't be. People have been asking for a Bus based episode for years and for an episode with out them in it.

FUR-Q was their response to this.

bellabelly · 18/05/2023 23:46

I loved tonight's episode! If I'd been flicking between channels, it would probably have taken me quite a while to realise it wasn't really a quiz show, complete with awkward banter. I thought Lee Mack did a great job as host.

EpicChaos · 19/05/2023 01:07

I think the whole bus, On The Buses, charade, was payback for fans pestering for an episode about a number 9 bus - we were well and truly taken for a ride, lol.
The rotten scoundrels and that includes Robin Askwith and Lee Mack.
I have to admit to taking an instant dislike to the Oakwoods, they just reminded me of those families that used to go on Ask The family, where families had newborns that had already graduated from both Oxford and Cambridge :-D lol
Anyhoo, their bait and switch caught most of us out, there's no use denying it, they won that game fair and square!

PearPartridge · 19/05/2023 08:38

I didn't realise fans had been asking for an On the Buses episode as I only watch the episodes.
A girl in my year at school went on Ask the Family. They seemed a perfect family on the programme, but I went on a school trip with her and it all came out how awful things were at home.

MxEWeatherwax · 19/05/2023 14:46

How did she do it?
Enjoyed it, tried to answer the questions too.

I think it was similar to the girl in the film Carrie where she had supernatural powers to send her mum the answers and also cause harm when riled up enough.

MxEWeatherwax · 19/05/2023 16:09

Ah, thanks @PearPartridge .
That’s probably what they meant on Twitter. I didn’t get it
