Hi, I've been watching some old episodes this week before the new series starts tomorrow night. What's everyone's favourites? I know there's so many. I watched Sardines last night I love that one think it's so funny and clever poor Stinky John. And Wuthering Heist, really clever writing and twists. I think the only one I wasn't pushed on was the Devil of Christmas.

Is that in series 1? I think I have it recorded.

I watched a couple last night. The first was the one about the policeman who turned into vampires. Was a bit of a silly one.
Also watched lip service which was a good one, although my DH had to help explain the ending to me. I think I must be a bit dim! 😆

Trial of Elizabeth Gadge is Series 2

Have you watched The Understudy ? The theatre one .

pinkchampagne1 · 13/05/2023 10:20

I hadn’t seen that one but have just downloaded it. Is it good?
I have the one about the witch finders recorded - I have just checked. 😃

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/05/2023 10:51

Ah , I love The Understudy , mainly because Steve P is completely horrible in it Grin
All of them need a re-watch , some of them I'm "is that it" ? on first watch then I go back and see things .

I don't think there's any I don't like but if I'm on iPlayer I skip some I cba with at the time .

I love The Devil of Christmas , it's like a total pisstake of 70s soap/dramas but the twist at the end ..........Wink

pinkchampagne1 · 13/05/2023 10:59

Oh I watched The Devil of Christmas on the plane a few weeks back. Loved that episode!
It’s great to be able to chat on here about our favourite episodes as none of my friends in RL seem to be watching it.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/05/2023 11:35

Whenever I want my adult DD to do something for me I do the Brush my hair for me Julian-you know I've never liked thunder line that Kathy does (when she knows he wants to plough through the scene speedily to get away for his VoiceOver gig ) Grin

Has anyone spotted any Hares??? Watching Tempting Fate and it reminded me that there was a thing about them hiding Hares or a Hare in every episode 🤔

Nice, like that 70s. Will have to rematch them all now to find the Hares (any excuse really!!) 😉

Tonight's viewing was Steak Out, Last night at the Proms and the understudy, loved them all.

Is the harrowing the one with Helen McCrory, must look for that one. I remember liking that.

Will catch up with Thursday's tomorrow

Same as that Pinkchampagne1, even my dh doesn't get it, although I think there some episodes he would enjoy, hes a horror fan and I'm sure he would enjoy the creeper ones

I make my DH watch them with me! 😆
We have just watched the Elizabeth Gadge one. It was so funny and a double twist at the end!

mrsnjw · 14/05/2023 14:38

Watched the new one yesterday. It was the first one that I have predicted the ending correctly 😃

3kidsaremorethanenough · 14/05/2023 14:50

I was listening to one of the podcasts and Reece was saying that he felt there was a link between the teacher in Mr.King and the one in Tom and Gerri, thought that was interesting, that it could have been him having a new start in Mr. King.

12 days of Christine is my favourite.

Mine too 😢

DomingoinLittleOakley · 14/05/2023 18:11

Thanks so much OP for bringing these to my attention - only problem is, I'm not getting anything done because I'm watching TV!
12 Days of Christine was absolutely heartbreaking and probably one of the best things I've ever seen. The Sphinx one was brilliant, Last Gasp not so much. The Understudy was great, as was The Bill, and I've watched Empty Orchestra and Diddle Diddle Dumpling today.
I love the way each one has a twist, and I have only managed to figure out one before it happens.

pinkchampagne1 · 18/05/2023 20:58

Just watched The Understudy - another good one. 😃

EsmaCannonball · 18/05/2023 22:13

Any idea why tonight's episode has been pulled at the last minute? It is called Hold On Tight and the guest star is Robin Askwith in an On the Buses style episode. Reading what little info is out there about the episode, it may have something to do with child sex abuse, but I am not too sure. The only thing I can think of is that it is too similar to the case today in Scotland and was deemed a bit insensitive.

Spookyseason · 18/05/2023 22:17

This quiz show looks a bit weird to me, getting 'dead line' vibes, could be wrong though.

pinkchampagne1 · 18/05/2023 22:18

I was wondering why it wasn’t on this week. There is some game show on instead. 🤔

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/05/2023 22:18

Where is tonights ?

There's a Lee Mack quiz "3s a Crowd" that I cannot find any reference on Google seatch (DH thinks it's an Inside No9 wind-up but it is utter shite )

EsmaCannonball · 18/05/2023 22:23

Oh, I think I've just realised what's going on. 3x3. And the people involved look like actors. Right, I'm off to iPlayer to watch from the beginning.

Namechangenumber2345 · 18/05/2023 22:23

This has to be a wind up episode

EsmaCannonball · 18/05/2023 22:26

There must be loads of people like me who thought, 'Fuck it, I'm not watching some Lee Mack daytime quiz,' and switched over to the news.' A lot of people will be watching on catch-up.

MaudGone · 18/05/2023 22:26

It's not a real game-show - the announcer said it's another episode on Inside no. 9

Namechangenumber2345 · 18/05/2023 22:31

This show never disappoints
