Hi, I've been watching some old episodes this week before the new series starts tomorrow night. What's everyone's favourites? I know there's so many. I watched Sardines last night I love that one think it's so funny and clever poor Stinky John. And Wuthering Heist, really clever writing and twists. I think the only one I wasn't pushed on was the Devil of Christmas.

Steve Pemberton has the most amazingly expressive eyes , even as the gruesome Pop in Leqgue of Gents and the manky Migg in Tom&Gerri.

Just watched Kid Nap 'Granola Granola' 😁 and the gorgeous Jason Isaacs 😍 I love seeing who pops up in the episodes too they've had some really good people.

I watched the one too where Steve Pembroke is the boss and they've hired a party room (no.9) and they think he's going to sack one of them, I can't remember the name of it now. Was good but I thought it was a crap ending.

Just re-watched 'The Stake Out' - the one where they're playing two cops, one of whom has a dark secret.
So clever and incredibly satisfying when you're shown all the clues that point to the big reveal.

@3kidsaremorethanenough

That's Empty Orchestra , one of my favourite .
Caught out by UV Light and Janet "I have skills...I can lip read"

The music choices are spot on for the storyline .

I watched the one that goes back 10 minutes at a time last night. Lots of comedy in that episode.
still not started on the new series as working my way through the others first.

Ha anyone watched Thursdays ? It was a non-gory , bit Eh?

Loved the black cat , he/she stole the show Grin

pinkchampagne1 · 05/05/2023 20:52

I am watching the Christmas one at the moment. The one with the drug addict son.
It was quite a sad episode and the twist came just before the final scene.

Yes, it was quite funny. Much better than the previous one with Anita Dobson which was too gory for me.

That bit when he switched the shower on really made me laugh. 😂

It was the one about the call centre, comfort support line.....

Haven't seen Thursdays yet will watch it tomorrow night. Was that the 2nd or 3rd one? I think I might have missed the start of the new series 🤔

Yeah Pink, that's a sad one, something so real about it too. The little boy was so lovely too. They are really talented writers to be able to do comedy and emotion too.

They really are talented. Every episode is so different.
We watched the Cold Comfort one the other week. Totally didn’t see the ending coming!

3kidsaremorethanenough · 05/05/2023 21:53

Same as that did not see that ending coming at all.

Jane Horrocks was brilliant too I didn't realise it was her for a good while into it

The Christmas episode was no.1 of the new series - so last night’s was no.3.

How has nobody said Tom & Gerri yet?
"It's just Migg, he's not real" 😱

I know!! This one affected me for a while!

Have you seen Nana's Party , it's got one of those time-jump scenes , where you see a Paramedic turn up at the house then it skips to eight hours earlier .
It's one of those sd but every character (except the daughter and the Nan) are really unlikeable !

I’m on another Inside No. 9 marathon watch, starting with Tempting Fate. It’s a bit creepy <wibble>

EmmaEmerald · 06/05/2023 19:31

Just caught up with this week's
nicely done! What did others think?

BellaPommefritio · 06/05/2023 19:50

Riddle of the Sphynx, the railway carriage one and more recently Wise Owl- incredibly creepy, tapping into unsettling fears about public information films. Reece did the foreword to a new edition of The Usborne Book of Ghosts which I had as a teenager, I was thrilled to know he was also avidly reading that as a child and being heavily influenced by it!
