I’d say teenagers might be ok, 15 or 16 with “parental guidance” 😬 but not younger

I think it would be wasted on younger ones anyway. Definitely a 15+ where they can hopefully understand the nuance to the episodes.

@Crinklycut I made the omelette! Boursin, crisps, chives, sieved eggs - oh so good! (Did take about three supermarkets to get cream cheese and chive crinkle cut crisps though).

did you sieve the eggs?

@Willmafrockfit yes - did the whole thing just like Sydney and it did taste fabulous. So much so that I have made it that way several times since just to quality control.

Yes! I’ve done the omelette, too. It might become a Sunday night staple.

@Willmafrockfit I did it with boursin the first time for complete authenticity but another time with a local hard cheese which tbh I preferred.

Do chefs really go eugh that much when creating recipes?

I loved some of the insight and chef language but wondered about that part

i imagine they do as they have taken advice, from Fak, who is a chef.

the omelette was indeed delicious!
i did have doubts that the boursin type would be overpowering but it was not at all.
i couldnt get all the egg through the sieve though

Likewise - just a line but I think that I used too much. Oh no! Might have to make it again 😅. The crisps are essential.

I need to get a new sieve first and finding those sour cream crinkle crisps is a bit more tricky than I first thought.

I tried the first episode but it just seemed to be a lot of busy people swearing at each other.

I absolutely LOVED The Bear. Watched it with DS, them again with DH.

@superoz I found Seabrooks crisps which tick the crinkle box and the flavour box. They are from Yorkshire - don't know how widely they are stocked.

yes i can get seabrook crisps from asda,
although the recipe i found doesnt stipulate which flavour crisps, and just says potato chips.

I have basically just started frying Boursin and eating it. There is an omelette somewhere in there, but it is mostly Boursin these days. Delicious.

In the US they don’t have flavours like we do, or certainly not as many.

not sure if she mentions it here or just later when she's telling lovely baker man what she used.

Oh I loved this so much, best thing I have watched in ages. Ritchie! Tina! Uncle Jimmy! Francie Fak! I even grew to love Pete. The fact they all hated him because he was so boring and straight 😁.

We have a small kitchen, so 'corner' and 'behind' are now in regular use.
