Not 100% sure what it's about but I'm gonna give it a go and didn't see a thread.

Google tells me it's from the creators of " The Traitors" a BBC hit from late last year and spawned versions around the world.

From what I can tell there's an elevator and meant to be rich and poor people and you can rise or fall in this " society" as I say I'm not too sure but let's see if others are giving it a go or know more.

I won't be watching live though unfortunately

Don't get why Rossi had no other supporters

Weak and lost the money. Plus divided crowd - his friends were either in the penthouse with him or supported one other player more

rach971 · 13/04/2023 23:06

I hope when my daughter watches this back she's proud of me

Yeah her mum shacks up with a man on day 1 and does absolutely naff all in there, sure she'll be well proud

RedToothBrush · 13/04/2023 23:06

Eossis mates were James, Sydney, Moses and Jack in the end. Two were in penthouse and the other supported Sydney.

In reality Sydney gave him Jack which was a very admirable thing which said she liked him and Jack worked his arse off. It wasn't a loss - he knew he had good friends.

aSofaNearYou · 13/04/2023 23:27

I feel like Eddie was the right outcome really.

He'd been seeming much more calculated in the penthouse and I'm not sure I liked him as much, but he still did play the best ruler - he was eloquent, naturally led discussion and never let it look to the other rulers like he lacked integrity.

Merrilydancing · 13/04/2023 23:34

I have to say, I was going to bow out of this as I wasn’t too fussed but glad I stuck with it.

Out of the last two I was glad Eddy one as he was right in saying that he adapted his style for the situation and that is what good leadership is about.

ItsTrueLou · 13/04/2023 23:40

Eddy was the obvious choice from the final two. Ramona played a very strategic game by eliminating Moses, think Moses should have taken out Sydney though and made the final decision much harder

WTF was Sydders wearing!

Spkat · 14/04/2023 01:49

Eddy was the obvious winner buy still a bit disappointed as I'm sure Matt was more deserving on his nurse's salary. Shocked Sydney made it that far. I also thought James was a good leader. If she hadn't had a trapped nerve and left, I expected the blonde woman to do well.

RedRuby15221 · 14/04/2023 02:24

I'm not sure how I feel about the process of choosing the winner, feels like it could be manipulated if you had alliances

rockingbird · 14/04/2023 07:56

I fell asleep and woke up at the end to see the winner announced 🙄 no point rewinding! Thank goodness it wasn't pvc girl

RedToothBrush · 14/04/2023 09:22

Interesting to see Isaak has been round Matt's house for beers from Matt's twitter feed. Pictures are from 6 days ago.

Tbh I didn't think Matt and Isaak were particularly friendly...

Wtaf does Sydney bring to the table? And wtf with Jack being all over that woman whose name escapes me (the one who left with a trapped nerve). Cheryl as classy as ever 😏 .

Right at the start (before all the Sydney romance started) Jack said he was most attracted to Joanna because she reminded him of his mum. Right.

ginlovingqueen · 14/04/2023 09:52

Eddy played a great game

Perhaps a future in politics?

Well he has all the creditals.

Father a toff, went to private school, family were on a reality show, brother went on Big Brother.

Perfect life skills.

LimitIsUp · 14/04/2023 11:53

I was in the anyone but Ramona camp - egotistical, self important and arrogant. I don't mind Eddie as the winner - mostly played with integrity and consistency, only irritated me a couple of times

Wtf

ginlovingqueen · 14/04/2023 14:24

@RedToothBrush

Definitely got the public school vibe

ginlovingqueen · 14/04/2023 14:27

If matt won, he could have bought some socks and trousers that fit

Sydney could have bought clothes, instead of the bin bag

ginlovingqueen · 14/04/2023 14:28

Shame

Moses is a fine figure of a man, mind you. Eddy and Syd looked like Borrowers when they were standing either side of Greg James 😂.

SlippinKimmy · 15/04/2023 21:15

Oh well. After all that the public school-educated aristocrat was the ‘natural’ leader. I got fed up of Eddy wanging on about how he had no money- well maybe if your family sold some of their many acres you could have had some! The definition of someone born on third base thinking they scored a home run. I didn’t think much of Sydney, but given her background the money would have much more of a difference to her life than to Eddy’s.

It was a shame how much boiled down to personal alliances in the end. Both Ramona and Moses got the chance to kick someone off with no comeback, and it wasn’t very democratic. And not sure why they invited all the grafters back, they didn’t get much of a chance to influence anything.

I did keep watching the show, but think it was ultimately flawed. Their definition of a ‘leader’ was someone who could shout the loudest, and they never really thought about what actually made good leadership skills. Ramona was particularly bad for this. Reevaluating your decisions based on fresh information and listening to people never featured. Given that the show didn’t really take off I would be surprised if they made another series, but if they did I hope it wouldn’t just be the dominant personalities that won.

ellebelli · 17/04/2023 10:05

I really enjoyed this,it had a good mix of people and I liked most of them.
Really wish Joanna had stayed, I do think she would have made a good leader and could have been in the final.
I liked Eddy but do feel a bit flat he won.
As the series went on I warmed to Moses(didn't like him in the basement and why oh why did he pick Jeff and Sophie to be his allys-the two most unlikeable ones in there)and would have been happy to see either him or Matt win.
My OH disliked Ramona but I didn't mind her, she made entertaining tv,and I actually think she rocked her bra and suit look!
Would look forward to a 2nd series.

I think you've contradicted yourself here as Eddie wasn't a dominant personality. He quietly got on with it and earned respect.

Additionally, being a leader in real life is about building alliances - very few people get ahead from technical abilities in their field alone.

Yep, you're right, Eddy was more of an alliance builder, I was thinking of earlier on with people like Ramona, Jack, Moses and so on, who seemed to think having an opinion and bulldozing it through was the best strategy.

IrisAtwood · 17/04/2023 15:59

Really enjoyed this series and was so pleased when Ramona was eliminated. Did not like her at all. Manipulative and arrogant.

I wanted someone who really needed the money to win tbh.
