I think the best leaders have ultimately been Matt and Eddie.
Its really interesting, that both took on the role of doing the food in the basement. This goes back to the Big Brother house where its been commented on by many contestants that the person(s) who take on that role have always been some of the most influential / liked within the house. Its this idea of them taking on the role of looking after the others as 'the adult' with the others who stay out of the kitchen taking on the role of 'the child'. Rise and Fall is so much like Big Brother, minus the public vote in places, in its dynamic. It clearly has its inspiration from it.
Matt, was in the penthouse for some of the most rocky and challenging parts of the series and ultimately James switched votes to back Matt because he was likeable and measured in what he said. Eddie on the other hand hasn't really been tested on that side of things. He's said he won't join an alliance, which in theory leaves in vulnerable but in practice also leaves him able to 'switch sides' at will. I think Eddie clearly saw Matt as his biggest rival actually, and thats really the reason he favoured Ramona over Matt. He has a gameplan, and is doing it subtly rather than confrontationally.
The dynamic on the last fall vote before the final aren't difficult to predict either. Ramona and Moses are the two most vulnerable. What Ramona does next matters. Moses is the next most vulnerable - but thats going to take Eddie making a pitch to go for him and keep Ramona. Thats very possible but Eddie is going to have to really turn up the dial on that one to split Rossi and Isaak from Moses. He's capable of it, and this is where I do think he has that ruthless streak which he wanted to see from Matt. The streak that he's inadvertantly admitted he has. Eddie has to fight Moses at some point - either in the final or at the last fall vote, and my suspicion is that it will be the next fight in the red room.
I do think Eddie is the one who has control of the direction of the group now. Moses had it, but Rossi's backing down to favour Ramona instead of Matt shows that the power has tipped to Eddie. Sydney is so weak, she will play 'follow my leader' rather than having much of a braincell of her own.
Having said that I think in terms of the winner, last night was revealling - all four rulers were unanimous in their support of Isaak. That is going to make him difficult to beat. Isaak isn't the best leader, but crucially he is liked by everyone, and isn't involved in the testosterone battle. He's not percieved as a 'threat' either. It really depends on what happens between Eddie and Moses tonight.
I do think that the fact Isaak the last one to get to the penthouse, shows hes really not a leader, but I think that will be possibly be overlooked when it comes to the crunch, because it may come down to who offends the other rulers the least - those that get involved involved in a standoff for the last fall vote may not win because ultimately egos will set in about preventing the other most dominant character from winning if they both survive, thus letting Isaak be the winner as the compromise candidate. However if Moses does get the chop tonight, Eddie will dominant the group and probably ultimately be the winner.
I do think only Eddie or Isaak can win.
