Is anyone else a Yellowjackets fan? I think season 2 will be released soon. I’m currently re-watching season 1 because I think I probably missed a lot. But it would be good to have done watching buddies.

I absolutely love Yellowjackets. Glad to find other people who are into it!!

Anyone watched today’s episode yet? Quite a difficult watch towards the end.

Kokopenny · 12/05/2023 21:51

I want ghost Jackie to come back

Oo was it on today? Thought it was Sunday. I cried at the end of the last one, steeling myself for the next one.

@roseopose new episode every Friday on paramount+

Robinni · 13/05/2023 08:32

@Caramelisedbiscuitbutter

Yeah I saw it. Good episode. Didn’t linger too much on baby, handled well…. Still amazed they didn’t eat the placenta as so nutritious….

Anyway, where is Krystal/Kristin?!?

Love the reunion of them all, and the question posed by Natalie about how much they remember from the wilderness…. Makes you think, how accurate is it what they remember or what we see.

Use of Florence and the Machine song that is about severe anxiety and mental health was an excellent choice. Sort of subverts that they are all dancing and happy and shows the truth of them all being screwed up together.

The scene where Lottie meets with her therapist - is this the woman in the woods unmasked? Sort of want to compare the therapists face with the glimpse of the woman shown before when Natalie was in therapy.

As for the end with Shauna and Lottie….. I didn’t find it that rough as we know that Lottie lives and they’re all good in the future. It was a good, if barbaric way of conveying visually the level of pain and anger Shauna feels.

Robinni · 13/05/2023 08:34

Oh and as for the artist bf, who’s so irrelevant now that his name escapes me….. who cares?!

Wish that would wrap up.

But perhaps it is key to show how they will all group round and protect each other and justify their actions to themselves.

I was sad about that bombshell about Van. Hope they can help her

Kittylickingplate · 14/05/2023 01:57

I really disliked the singing/dancing number with Misty. It felt clunky and wrong. I am not against that sort of thing. There was an episode of 'House' when Greg is hallucinating and does a dance routine to 'Come on get happy' and it was soooo good.
This was bad.

House is streaming now on Peacock.Stream Now: https://www.peacocktv.com?cid=20200101evergreenownyt002&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=owned_onlinevideo_brandaw...

@Kittylickingplate Didn’t watch all of House so missed this, however watching it I found it a bit disturbing… with the nurses jerky movements.. would need to see it in context of the whole episode/story arch.

Personally liked the Misty scene, showing she basically has her bird as main confidant and her state of mind. She sort of goes to this point of euphoria where she rushes to call Walter and reveal all about herself…. Reminded me of when she was best friends with Krystal, got close and revealed her actual self… didn’t end well, wonder if it will with Walter.

She seems incapable of having normal relationships with people.

QuintanaRoo · 14/05/2023 14:57

I’ve succumbed to temptation and fired up my subscription again. The roasting scene was grim.

ANiceBigCupOfTea · 15/05/2023 19:36

Looking forward to the next episode.
I'm re watching season one.
Who's everyone's favourite character?

QuintanaRoo · 15/05/2023 19:44

I think Shauna is probably my favourite character, certainly as adults. As teens I quite like crazy Misty.

Robinni · 15/05/2023 20:15

Shauna I think or Natalie.

Kittylickingplate · 16/05/2023 00:18

The acting is so good, it is hard to pick someone.
For favourite person, Van.

Favourite acting... Misty, Shauna, Natalie... I don't know, all so good.

Robinni · 16/05/2023 06:55

@Kittylickingplate Van fact - she was due to be killed off but the young actress was so good that they expanded the role.

ANiceBigCupOfTea · 16/05/2023 07:13

I think all round my favourite is Van. She seems genuinely quite decent and has her head screwed on.
I like adult Shauna as well.

Robinni · 19/05/2023 16:37

Yay! It’s Friday, yes it’s Friday!!

Buckle in for a new episode!!

Whenever I realised watching this series would mean one episode a week a la pre streaming life I was gutted.

However, I am actually really enjoying this aspect, much like I got excited about Friends every Friday night in the 90s! More engaged with the series as a result!

BloodandGlitter · 19/05/2023 17:14

Horrifying episode. Really crazy. That's all I'll say, enjoy the madness!

Caramelisedbiscuitbutter · 19/05/2023 18:16

Definitely a turning point episode!

SapatSea · 19/05/2023 18:44

Made me laugh a lot in places and also feel sad.

Kittylickingplate · 20/05/2023 04:10

Can we discuss or is that a spoilers issue?

Caramelisedbiscuitbutter · 20/05/2023 07:28

I’d say we can discuss as it’s been available for 24 hours now and no ā€œliveā€ show time!

ANiceBigCupOfTea · 20/05/2023 07:43

Oooh that one was a tough watch!!

Robinni · 20/05/2023 21:30

Agree with @Caramelisedbiscuitbutter a real turning point episode.

The groundwork has already been done SO well and now all let loose!

Really good with the hallucinations showing that not just Lottie and Tai are impacted. Is it normal for people in their position, or the ā€œItā€ causing it all?!

The only thing that can save the Adam storyline for me is Walter and I hope he comes through.

Brilliant that Ben has found the alternate space, though why he left his bloody crutch outside is beyond me.

Lottie reflecting the past ritualistic choosing in the present is bizarre, proper crazy, I do not know why they aren’t all more wary of her as she was present when Travis died.

I don’t know if I will totally believe it’s more than Lottie being crazy until other characters are collectively shown some sort of supernatural force. Right now you could put their behaviour down to trauma.
