Finally managed to get to the end of this thread.
Very much not in the Jesse camp. He may be aware of his faults but not massively interested in sorting them out. I haven’t seen Claire be stressfully loud or whacky; that’s been his perception. But when he mocked the way she talked, it was like watching a 14 year old in action.
Harrison’s behaviour is so unpleasant with so many red flags that frankly I think the ixperts should have stopped the whole thing and just ended it. After all the complaints the show has had before about abusive behaviour, how are they letting it go on? I am unsure what role the production team have played in the whole girlfriend scenario but the honeymoon call from her sister, saying how she could now see how perfectly matched they are, sounded like a hostage tape.
I also feel very sorry for Cam. A relationship with someone with a life-limiting illness is a big thing. Couples in that situation need to do a lot of talking and it very much needs to be something you walk into with eyes wide open. Totally unsuitable for a reality show IMO.
While watching Melissa through my fingers, I did have an element of sympathy with her upset about him not wanting to be honest. Because reading the thread through, until it was clear what had happened, posters were assuming she was making it up. She knows by saying they hadn’t slept together in interviews it makes her look like a fantasist. I think she really, really needs to tone it down, and there were definitely moments which would have been utterly unacceptable to broadcast if the sexes were exchanged, but I got her point on that one.
9.5 was so revealing when she was so suspicious of husband (forgotten his name) being kind and considerate to her. She’s obviously ended up with all manner of shits in the past.
