I think the young curly haired blonde guy with a penchant for headbands is very talented.

the sheepskin shop looked fabulous, they did an excellent job there.

The sheepskin people had the best/most interesting range of products to display in the end , on the outset I thought this one was hardest to do and Tom or Temi would be goners. But it leant itself to colour warmth and texture . Thought the display box /table concept was good but other than thar thought the fashion shop was poor.

The sheep skin stuff was the easiest to display. I do like though that the had a cohesive design even though they disagreed on stuff.

The shoe shop was just bland.

I thought the biggest problem with the clothes shop was that you couldn’t see the clothes! Also the trellis thing looked a shocker.

Monika saved herself with the cabinets on castors, but I also wondered how stable the tables would have been. She probably did inadvertently well to pick that paint as it would have been harder-wearing than water based for the evening use that the owner had in mind. I think that Peter’s orange discs in the logo and on the table JUST counteracted the crap chairs at the back.

I laughed a lot at lawyer Temi trying to cover her arse by making sure that it was on the record how much she hated Tom’s decisions (I agreed with her), but then I was caught out by Michelle them coming in and saying she liked the white lettering and the poo-brown wall! Come to think of it, did they not end up with a coherent design mostly because Tom completely overruled her at every turn?

Ry showed his immaturity by not listening when he was warned that big box blocked the view of the inside of the shop. I PMSL when he said he asked his Mum about shoes shopping and Michelle said “well, I am sort of that demographic” which was code for “I’m old enough to be your mother”!

I'm surprised Ry went and not Monica/Mr white. I bet he wished he'd let Jack lead the project.
I wasn't expecting Monica's sock grid she spent ages making to end up just like a garden trellis. I did think they were going to end up with nothing quite finished and a sticky floor.

Annoyingly Tom's poo brown wall didn't look so bad once they had the shoes up.

Just been having a peek at the shops instagram, and looks like the clothing shops dark flooring lasted about 1.5-2 months! It looks like they repainted it back to the colour it was before.

Not sure that they've kept the big orange circle logo either or the chipboard fixtures.

Always wonder if the contestants ever keep an eye on what's been kept etc.

The sheepskin shop was the best I think, sadly they're closing the shop down soon though.

Closing as they couldn’t negotiate a new contract with landlord acc to local news page. I live in Harrogate. Real shame but they may open up elsewhere in the town.

I liked the Sheepskin shop and loved the deep blue at the back where the handbags were in the Daniel store.
I really didn't like the chipboard.

just watched this week’s show. Tom has still done nothing to change my mind about his superior attitude. And describing working with Temi as ‘Dreadful’ was unnecessary. That said, their shop was very good and they had worked together as a team which I expect was difficult all round. It’s a shame the ship is closing.

Ry was robbed I think. Very original and I don’t think his faux pas with the shoes was as bad as Peter’s shocking chairs or monika’s trellis. Owl looked like one of those shops I’d avoid selling overpriced cotton t shirts and the like. I’d definitely shop at Daniel.

Jack is like Banjo from last year as the front runner from ep 1. I think the final will be Jack versus Monika or Tom but it should’ve been Ry. Temi or Peter to go next.

I agree - I'd shop in Daniels or the Westmorland shop but not Owl.

@NeverApologiseNeverExplain i really don’t think he was. He went on to make other ‘jokey’ comments, but I think taken in context with his previous behaviour it just comes across as bullying and unpleasant. He really does rate himself and you’d have thought given his misplaced confidence last week he might be a bit more gracious. Be interesting to see what they contestants think as they watch this season back. I don’t think Temi is a winner by the way, nor do I like her style, but I don’t like to see snidey behaviour either on what should be a ‘nice’ easy to watch show.

I really don’t understand how Peter is still there. Think Ry going was unfair this week.

I thought that was a great shop week. All three were pretty good.

Thought fake Ivy terrace should have gone.
But understand that the shoes not being properly displayed was a bigger error.
Especially having the pretty shoes shut away in the cabinet and the ugly ortho styles in the main view. They could have put some of the heels lit up with the handbags.

Loved that the shopkeepers came back, I've missed seeing the client reactions.

I think Temi and Tom both rate themselves. 2 egos on the one project. They did well.

Two egos wanting to be top dog, joking not joking about how hard it is working together with a side eye you know what I really think but I am pretending to thinly disguise it smugness. IYKWIM.

Peter and his saddle and plastic chair should have gone imho

I'm watching last series as well for the 3rd time as my daughter has got hooked, with this series I just can't warm to any of the contestants, but we were spoiled with Banjo I suppose I could watch him all day

Why do they keep saving Peter?

Tom needs to climb back out of his own arse. He's really not coming across well.

I also hate the trend of using OSB board or plywood for finished products.
Sub floors, inside sheds, boarding your loft etc, yes. Furniture or kitchen cupboards, just no. It looks shit and will not wear well.

I think Jack has the most natural talent.

Yellow knitting on chair was hideous.
I thought Temi should have gone for the bed canopy thing the other week...although I suppose some credit is due to her and her partner for bringing things together despite their egos this week.

I think Ry was unlucky to go this week. My money was on him or Jack to win.

Agree the wood cabinets looked hideous but I quite liked the concept of cabinets on wheels. I think they saved Monika. She can't last much longer can she with those time issues?

I think it was the right call. The format of the teams this week put so much power in the hands of the lead designer that it would be tricky to justify getting rid of the other member of the team, so really just between Monika and Ry. Ultimately Monika had issues and misses, but she also had design elements the judges really liked. I'm struggling to think of anything Ry designed that impressed the judges.

As a side note I also thought their was real disparity in terms of the complexity of the challenge, 2 teams had straight forward shops, 1 team had a shop that had be able to switch to a nighttime venue which I think is a much bigger ask.

I thought the shoe displays were awful so I can see why Ry got sent home. The shoes were just dumped on surfaces and no effort to bring attention to them.

It just goes to show that the adage you're only as good as your last design holds true.

I was sure Ry was set for the final, but it looked like he made no effort so he had to go.

I really hope Jack doesn't screw up sometime because to have Tom win is unthinkable. What a dick the man is.
