Picard. Series 3. First ep now on Amazon Prime and it's actually not bad (but give it time)

It's sending me to sleep tbh, and I really don't like the Rafaella character and she's such a big part of it.
Strange New Worlds, on the other hand, is fantastic.

Okay, it's back to annoying me. An entire episode that basically is just one battle?! TNG would have knocked that out in 7 minutes.

O M G - Ep 4 is perfection. Just magnificent.

This is an entirely different level to the past two seasons. This is Star Trek doing what it does best.

Loved episode 4. I listened several times to Will's words to Deanna as they were so lovely. Brilliant episode. The interaction between Picard and Jack was superb.

Dont read on if you se doing to be shitty about spoilers from ep3.

Much more treky and nice to be back on a proper bridge. Anyone else wondering though how the fuxk they still haven’t sorted birth control? Of all the amazing medical things they can do humans are still slipping up on that one!

Not to mention the fact that Beverley must have been in her early 50s...

I wouldn’t have recognised Beverley. Not sure if she’s had Botox or if it’s just the hair colour but I keep thinking she’s Deanna!

I’m not keen on the 10 episode arcs either - or Raffi. I’ll have Picard on in the background but I’m
bot really into it. I really want to see SNW but can’t justify paying for yet another streaming service - we have Netflix, Prime, Disney and NowTV already! We got bored of Discovery in the middle of season 3. Lower Decks is the best really.

I gave up around episode 3 of season 2.
Hated season one except for seeing hugh.

So Beverley had a secret son with picard but named him after her first husband who'd been dead for 30 years? Nice. Totally believable.

But you haven’t actually seen S3?

Enjoyed ep4 as well.
Never seen quite so much product placement on an episode of Star Trek though.

BTW, why does the current Changeling melt down into a nasty mushy colour? I’m sure I remember Odo (😍) as golden in his non-solid form?

Star Trek nemesis was set in 2379, Beverly according to the Star Trek timeline was born in 2324. So was around 55.
Jack was born at some point after nemesis .

Odo was definitely a lovely golden brown colour, as were all the other changelings.

So glad to find this thread. I'm a MASSIVE trek fan.

I've met Patrick Stewart. I love him. Would leave my DH for him.

I love all things trek. I'm tolerating Disco and tolerated S1 and S2 of Picard.

I'm loving series 3.

Highly recommended Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks. Nice to meet my fellow Trekkies.

Odo is lovely so maybe is reflected in his natural form. The one in Picard is a nasty changling so maybe that makes a difference.
