I thought of you'd already absconded once from an open prison, you did t get another chance. As it was mentioned in a previous episode.
I did have to wonder how good a mother the partner actually was, if she was willing to have a violent criminal lice with her kids. He clearly hadn't changed.

I assumed all the kids were his , fathered on his previous releases - she’s likely pregnant again or had another one this time ( not sure when this was filmed) .

Think it was filmed this summer. As one of the hearings was march this year.

I do wonder how people who have spent their whole adult life in prison, are supposed to cope on the outside. How much support do they get? I would have thought that putting people in bail hostels, with similar types of people is just sling for trouble.

Their home lives are usually just the same as being in the bail hostels.
If you did drugs before you came into prison, you'll go back to your family and friends, most of whom also do drugs. Same with alcohol.

And criminality goes with addiction.

No sympathy for Carl. He had no intention of giving up drugs.
