Had anyone visited or lives there?

Yes I live there.

The grubby bits are just as grubby as they look in the programme, and the lovely bits are just as lovely Smile

Deadringer · 07/02/2023 12:37

No doubt they will find lots of other stuff while investigating neckbeard, he is bound to have awful stuff on his computer, and other pupils and past pupils who were his victims in the past will come forward.

I wonder if she was left standing at the altar or someone told her.

He'd better be hoping for a long sentence.

She'll slaughter him when he gets out.

Guy getting married and his mate are dead meat when the gangster brothers realise that they had a bag of cash belonging to them. It will either be shanking in jail or concrete underpants for 2.

I live near Sheffield and there isn't a prison there. The 'Sheffield' scenes in the cafe etc were also filmed in Bolton I believe. Artistic licence.

I think the prison was Wakefield but they parked in Halifax Town Centre!! Long walk that lol

EsmaCannonball · 07/02/2023 16:07

Also, did Catherine ever go on her dinner date with the multi-millionaire Nevison Gallagher?

Can't see her wanting to be tied to a man in her retirement but he is a) a goodie, b) more than a match for her, c) a multi-millionaire.

Hmm, one of the brothers had his head splattered in a field though 😬

PiePieChickenPie · 07/02/2023 16:34

Aww Catherine put a blanket on Tommy - I know it was because he was on fire 😬 but still, it’s something you do for a child or to comfort someone - it’s probably the only time anyone has ever popped a blanket on him! Clare’s blanket, made with love 😭

@Sidge and @noodlezoodle - I watched episodes 1 - 3 of the first series last night and there are a lot of really quite disturbing Becky flashbacks that I'd completely forgotten about. It's not a particularly sophisticated technique but I'm spotting so many callbacks to the first series that I'm guessing SW wanted to bring her back and just square that off in a non-traumatic way in the final episode. It's a wee bit unsubtle but also quite satisfying to see Becky 'alive and well'.

I remember those scenes so vividly because I found them so disturbing! Made me jump every time. I also noticed that just before the Becky's 'ghost' scene, Catherine looks in her rear view mirror but doesn't see anything. Not sure if that was a call back and she was looking for Becky, but it stood out a bit.

I'm Watching e6 again

It's better the 2nd time

I agree - I saw details I didn't notice on first watch. I was also able to relax, knowing the outcome!

JaneJeffer · 07/02/2023 18:13

I rewatched the kitchen scene. Was much less heart-pounding the second time and was able to enjoy the acting in a more relaxed fashion. So good!

CuriousMama · 07/02/2023 18:15

@JaneJeffer 🤣🤣🤣

CuriousMama · 07/02/2023 18:17

@Telephome that's fab. Did you see any of them?

upinaballoon · 07/02/2023 18:30

I know this is really about S3, but someone had been back to the start of S1, either on this thread or the last one. I've just watched the beginning of S1E1, and like PP said, it's there from the start, the call-out for CC and Kirsten to the drunk man in the playground, threatening to set fire to himself. Then a little bit later C and C and little Ryan go to the graveyard and Ryan notices the pens on Sylvia Plath's grave and there's poetry on her gravestone which mentions 'fierce flames' and I think she killed herself, not by setting fire to herself, but it's all there.
And I know Kevin was silly and greedy in a way but it was no fault of his that the damn sack fell and split and he saw the packets of drugs. He just wanted to pretend that he hadn't seen anything but Ashley wouldn't let him and so he changed his mind.

JaneJeffer · 07/02/2023 18:33

I didn't realise how small Mike Taylor is until they were all rushing out to Catherine's rescue.

JaneJeffer · 07/02/2023 18:34

Oh no @upinaballoon what Kevin did is unforgivable! He ruined so many lives by his actions.

JaneJeffer · 07/02/2023 18:35

And he wasn't even sorry and tried to blame Nev.

Telephome · 07/02/2023 18:37

CuriousMama · 07/02/2023 18:17

Yes I've watched them film a few scenes over the years.

The production team used the car park at the front of Catherine's house for their vehicles/catering etc so saw lots of that.

I saw SL out and about round Hebden several times (very wafty and smiley) but sadly never saw JN!

HannaHat · 07/02/2023 18:37

I didn't realise just how tall Tommy was until I saw this photo.

I thought this said smelly at first Grin

allsogreen · 07/02/2023 18:44

In the final episode, when TLR points out she was kicking him too on the barge, and she says that was "In The Line of Duty" - anyone else like to think that was possibly a sneaky reference to Line of Duty (series) and a sort of "this is how to do a good ending!" dig after the fiasco of their ending!?! 😆

Ha! Never got that close but I'm sure she would have been très fragrant!

That's brilliant. I like hiking looks like it's a lovely area to walk.
