what will happen to our Ryan

will Tommy die (I think he has to) so no threat ever again and Catherine and Ryan can live happily every after

Darius /mob have to be the ones who kill him as he’s a liability

Great, so a new possibility is Desmond, the golden eagle from the Bird of Prey Centre, clocks TLR's winged tattoo, feels a bit randy, lands on TLR's new hairdo and sends him flying over the edge of a cliff. Nobody saw it coming.

If TLR doesn't get tattoo-tupped by Desmond the Eagle * I shall now be very disappointed.

*One of our goldfish is called Desmond. Makes you think.

Does Sally Wainwright's tv series ( plural ) usually have a realistic ending or a more true to life, not a happy ever after ending ?

They generally run out of steam particularly when other writers take up the reins. But this has been an exceptional three series in more ways than one.

Thanks to those who suggested Last Tango in Halifax... I've just watched ep 1 and hooked! It's fab. Sarah Lancaster and oh, that woman from the unforgotten plus loads of Emmerdale actors. Bliss! :)

Oh and a funny plot and great acting.

Oh, it was. Spot on. LOD was a lot of fun, but was trashy by comparison. Real drama is surely where you believe in the characters as real people.

Plus also the sea in malaga regions is reet cold so why can't TLR and that Ryan be shipped to benidorm where the sea is massively hotter and there's no chance that the towie mob will bump into them.

I might like her a little bit.

I reckon she will pop up, having called someone a snotty bitch, off TLR with a log splitter and her and Catherine will drive off into the sunset in the landy.

But I am also sleep deprived, on a lot of pain killers and still in pain, so I wouldn't put much store by my current predictions.

I considered this, but then thought 1) he could have had him killed in prison 2) he could have had him shot by Bill and Ted on their motorbike (like in series 1) when TLR was doing Tour de France looking at the pretty view.

If Catherine dies, I'll be furious. Also wondering if Alison's clutch will have a part to play, like someone (sorry I couldn't find it to quote!) upthread suggested.

I think there's too much to tie up in this last episode and I'm preparing for disappointment. Last week's episode was a bit of a none one. I was hoping for a huge cliffhanger before the finale.

The podcast trio have just been on BBC Breakfast. They said the most outrageous theory they have heard is that Ryan is not TLR's son because that would undermine the whole premises of HV.

They obviously haven't heard some of the outrageous theories on these threads 🤣🤣
