Here we go

We're home now stayed 2 nights. I'll go there next time though as should be back soon.
We ate at La trattoria this morning. Then mooched around the market. Dh bought lots of veggies and I bought a very vibrant jumper.

We went to Helmsley and the Bird of Prey Centre in December and intend going back to both next month. Never been there on market day but I love markets so will make sure we go to it next time

Not really the thread for it, but the “village name” post reminded me of the time my sister and I passed a signpost for a Devon village called “Harepie” and I couldn’t stop sniggering and my sister didn’t get it.

I want to go to that bird of prey centre.

If you're at the market, Rose Cottage pies are amazing.

Sorry to derail the thread but the Bird of Prey Centre is so good. They do 3 show flights a day and each one has different birds in it. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

They are not open until 11th Feb. In December it was an owl evening we went to. We had been to it before and enjoyed it so much we went again

Great, so a new possibility is Desmond, the golden eagle from the Bird of Prey Centre, clocks TLR's winged tattoo, feels a bit randy, lands on TLR's new hairdo and sends him flying over the edge of a cliff. Nobody saw it coming.

My actual thoughts are: feeling the need to atone for his very existence, Ryan believes catching TLR is his responsibility, it all goes wrong when the OCG turn up and TLR has to kill one or two of them to save himself and Ryan. TLR then goes off to wreak his revenge on Catherine, somehow.

I did think Richard would die, but now I think it might be Ryan.

I did think Ann and Daniel's cottage had significance, but now I think it might be the asbestos warehouse. The cottage would be more poetic.

TLR will go to Catherine's house and find Alison there.

Revenge is a dish best served cold. Ryan's revenge on TLR? TLR making Ryan get revenge on the PE teacher? (How, now the PE teacher isn't staying in his own home?) Or just a phrase that Ryan has picked up from TLR which now makes him realise that TLR is going to go after his family?

I think you're right. He's a bit thick, he's had it rammed down his neck his whole life that has dad is a wrong 'un. He wants to prove his worth to granny and will go all vigilante trapping him. Expect Royce will escape and will then be fummin at t'betrayal.

I was also thinking that TLR might go.after Ann but find he has been double crossed by Darius and brother as Nev has bought him for Ann to see off. Catherine and Ryan will get wind of it from different sources.Catherine will want to bump him off this time but won't when Ryan arrives as his presence will jolt her into doing the right thing...Darius and bro will then bumpTLR, Catherine,Ann and Ryan off..

I reckon Ivan is not long for this world when Darius finds out about the money.

I vote for Daniel to be the one to off TLR. Revenge is a dish best served unexpectedly.

I don't think Ryan is thick and he is fundamentally good, but he has been the object of resentment and secrecy all his life and now he's found out that his conception and birth wrecked his family, on top of which visiting TLR in prison has caused further massive rifts. I think the poor thing might think he has some kind of duty to make up for all this by entrapping TLR.

Darius (aided by Beetrootman) is winding up TLR for a secret malevolent purpose; I suspect one last job that D does not intend TLR to survive.

If TLR's last job for Darius is 'Kill this pesky journalist who's been hanging around' then TLR might have quite a bit of job satisfaction. However, I just don't think there's enough time left for big distractions. Or is there?

I feel like Ryan can't die - Tommy will have 'won' by hurting Catherine this way.

I 100% think Richard will die. Pissy Darius will have him followed (after the fake meet up, which he was never going to) and somehow the story line will bring the Drug Gang, Tommy, Ryan, Catherine etc together. I REALLY want Ann to kill Tommy. Would be perfect. And Ryan 'picks' his gran, over Tommy. So their relationship is forever healed.

Darius must have a role for TLR though - otherwise he wouldn't have gone through the whole rigmarole of springing him from prison/the court.

But I agree, that's unlikely to be a philanthropic act to see TLR and Our Ryan off into the Spanish sunset.
