what will happen to our Ryan

will Tommy die (I think he has to) so no threat ever again and Catherine and Ryan can live happily every after

Darius /mob have to be the ones who kill him as he’s a liability

what if ……. TLR doesn’t get to Catherine and goes to Spain - then Catherine drives to Spain with Ryan in her land rover and they meet on the beach !!!!

Is there a thread for series 2? I’ve only just started watching this, watched series one in 2 evenings and just started on series 2, am already very invested 😂 - as a side note, why aren’t subtitles available, drives me nuts as I can’t hear what they’re saying sometimes even with the sound up loud, lots of muttering and even full blown conversations that pass me by totally!

Subtitles are on 2. I had then the other day

I wasn't 100% sure until I was reading it here!

Quite the contrast. I know he was sitting down in the van, but he just seemed so much smaller and nondescript. Not very gangster at all, conversation aside.

i wonder about the mobile phone message TRL got when he first turned it on with reference to coop or spar- wondered if that was Neil giving him the phone suddenly as he’d not had one that we know of before.
Also thought when CC didn’t respond to Ryan with any feeling when he said I love you granny. TLR said via video game he loved him- has that swayed Ryan’s idea of what love is and his allegiance?

I totally agree, I was really sad when CC didn't respond to Ryan in the same way. It's not unconditional love CC has for Ryan.

yes @TwoMonthsOff - it was the same guy that beat Ivan and his friend and who he weed on. Lovely guy…but you can see why him and TLR are mates.

Righto. Have rewatched now.
Darius laughing at TLR saying he’d never been abroad REALLY hit a nerve didn’t it.
Think he genuinely is not sold on the idea and it made him feel edgy and out of his comfort zone.
Watching it last night reminded me of a conversation between Catherine and Clare, I think way back in S1, when they knew TLR had been released but didn’t know his whereabouts.
Clare said something like he might even be around in the area but Catherine retorted that “He’s the sort who thinks Manchester is abroad, he wouldn’t know how to be anywhere else”.
The exchange really stuck out for me because Catherine then went on to say he’s like a rat, he’ll never be more than 3 feet away… then the scene changes to our first sighting of TLR lifting bags of sand at Ashley’s farm.

I've binged watched and am now up to date. I really wanted to watch the last 2 series before this one to refresh my memory but as good as it is, the episodes just seem to go on forever!

I vaguely remember series 1 with the kidnap plot and Kirsten's horrible death. Then series 2 with the policeman. That reminded me a lot of the chemist storyline here. Corrupt men who have been pushed to the limit.

I'm wondering now if Richard arranging to meet Darius and him not turning up had anything to do with anything? Wasn't blown away by the latest episode to be honest but I guess it's setting it up for next week. I do think TLR is a bloody good character and I enjoy the dynamic between Catherine and Clare too. Both fabulous actresses.

Find it tough to believe that Ryan, young as he is, could be so receptive ro his dads suggestions when literally every person in his life has told him what a psycho he is.

I think in any scenario where Ryan betrays TLR, TLR has to die, because left alive he will never forgive Ryan. Even if locked up for life, he would be consumed with getting revenge.
