I'm now wondering who died that I got him mixed up with. Probably will remember at about 3 in the morning . . .

I’m going for it being Claire but with double de-clutch lady’s tire iron. Which she will hand to Claire, wordlessly at the opportune moment to swing. And then Catherine will stand up from where she was lying, wipe down her trousers, look at TLR and say ‘that’ll do ‘im.’ There’ll be at least one face with blood splatter and then Claire’s useless boyfriend (who is like Hebden Bridge’s answer to Steve from Sex and the City) will come out with mugs of tea while they wait for the cavalry to arrive, as it will be two mins after the end of Catherine’s final shift.

I agree death is too glib.

I suggested limbless, strapped to a bed in a care home. Someone improved upon that with ‘secure unit’.

Essentially, he should spend the rest of his life as Kirsten, if she hadn’t died from the injuries he inflicted. I don’t think we can hope he’d hang himself - so devastating injury is as circular as it’s likely to be.

Was anyone else really hoping that Anne would tell Ryan exactly what TLR did to her ?
The depravity of the man.
Because she was standing in front of Ryan the awfulness of it would be more real for him than his almost mythical mother.
I was willing for her to shout out at him in anguish "He raped me too".

Yes, I was. Just a factual list of the things he’s done.

I’m curious as to how the Hepworth/Faisal subplot is going to resolve itself.

My guess is somehow Hepworth is going to find out that Faisal supplied the diazepam to Joanna leading to a confrontation between the two of them that ends up in either them both dying or Hepworth killing Faisal and then Hepworth being charged with his murder (so he still gets his comeuppance despite not being guilty of Joanna’s death).

I feel sure there will be some other confrontation between the pair of them, to make the encounter when Hepworth rear ended Faisal a meaningful prelude (otherwise what was the point of it).

Faisal has to get found out, but given how much Hepworth has been set up as the bad guy I can’t see the end for him being just him being in the clear, something has to happen to bring his storyline to a dramatic close.

Sadly, I think the Wednesday Wedding is just the character motivation for Tweedledum not straight up legging it when he realised how much trouble he was in with Darius.

I tend to lose at Cleudo so not getting my hopes up :D

But remember how difficult it was for her to tell other people about what happened to her - she never told her mum and she got Catherine to tell her dad. It’s harder for her to talk about her own experience.

She’s known him for so long, he would have respected and believed her version of events without the statement that no one wanted him apart from his Granny. But then she’s grappling with her own demons of PTSD and alcohol so rationality wasn’t ever going to be a feature of that little outburst . Daniel being fucking useless, as per.

I can totally see Alison being there fixing the car, if the showdown does occur at Catherine’s house. After all, she did just turn up the other day and Daniel didn’t know who she was.

Is there a thread for series 2? I’ve only just started watching this, watched series one in 2 evenings and just started on series 2, am already very invested 😂 - as a side note, why aren’t subtitles available, drives me nuts as I can’t hear what they’re saying sometimes even with the sound up loud, lots of muttering and even full blown conversations that pass me by totally!

When Faisal and Jo were planning the murder of Rob, didn't F check with her that she had deleted everything from her phone and didn't have any packets etc.? She said she hadn't but I wondered from her face at the time whether she really remembered properly or wasn't quite telling him the truth. Episode 4, here I come.

if memory serves the diazepam that Catherine took from Joanna was still in its blister pack. So I presume that’s how the police would ultimately link it to Faisal.
