The problem is that the fun, interesting people who build it themselves are have no money are more likely to fail due to their lack of funds. The ones who just chuck all their (IT earned for eg) money at it end up with a house so they are the ones who get televised. The ones with the real passion are far more involving.

Read an interview with Kevin a while ago about how many people they follow and start to film that do not end up being broadcast as they end up with nothing
