I agree that there’s a bad vibe between Liv and Tanyel. Liv is very manipulative. She plays the little girl victim a lot and then people don’t realise that she’s subtly manipulating them. Whereas Tanyel is very upfront and has no qualms telling you to your face if she doesn’t like you. Liv just plants the seeds in your head without you realising. Liv realises that she can’t pull the wool over Tanyel’s eyes so instead she attempts to do a character assassination on her to the other girls.

What do we think of Tom talking to Lana about Ron? Was it sneaky or was it nice straight up stuff? I did think it was suprising coming from Tom, I'd have expected it coming from Shaq for example.

I think Lana just picked Casey to make Ron work for it - could backfire!

I feel like the boys, incl. Tom have been encouraged by producers to voice opinions about the Ron and Lana situation.

Again Lana is one of the most, if not most, marketable. They will want a good story for her and her to stay long term. They will know Ron is viewed negatively at present. A nudge by a producer to Tom saying why don’t you have a chat with Lana tonight about her decision is all it takes.

I think it’s about the only time I’ve seen Tom talk to Lana. But maybe they have a decent friendship we never see anything of because the show is filled by “where’s your head at?” and “you’re obviously very attractive so I want to get to know you” and “you always make me laugh” (erm when? Could you actually show some of those normal funny conversations LI producers?!) conversations.

Regardless glad the boys seem to be anti Ron except his “on job” buddy Kai. I expect both will go wild in Casa and egg each other on.

Don’t like Olivia one bit. Saying she wouldn’t bitch about Tanyel behind her back when that’s exactly what she done. It was good to see Tanyel confronting her about it. She won’t let her get away with anything.
She obviously thinks she a bit of Elizabeth Taylor, trying to channel Breakfast at Tiffanys with those ridiculous gloves.

Ron reminds me of River Phoenix looks wise. He is obviously used to women dropping at his feet and his ego is out of control. The comment to Casey about the white jeans, I was waiting for a laugh at the end to show it was a joke but it didn't come. He sounded quite nasty in that moment.

I am sad Aaron has gone as he seemed very decent, but I suppose that doesn't make good TV. You could literally see Aaron's contempt for Ron. I am glad though that Ron is being called out on his behaviour by the other males - and not being told endlessly, 'we have to be tested in here'

Will reminds me of a young Bill Nighy. He has that saucy teetering on camp manner which is very likeable.

Bit more going on in this episode! It was obvious Kai would stay and whilst I'd have preferred spencer I think it was fair. The clash between Olivia and Tanyel is interesting they obviously both want to be front and centre.

I'm starting to buy into Will and Jessie a bit more. I'm surprised Lana pick Casey but I suspect she's using him.

Casa Amour I'd only trust Will, Jessie, Casey, Shaq and Lana (but only because she would be waiting for Ron. Not Casey)

I'm finding Samie a bit snidey. She should have called Olivia out on her comment, rather than saying nothing, then running to Tanyel.

I think if Olivia is as bitchy as some think, she'd have demanded to know who told Tanyel, but she didn't and didn't try to wriggle out of it either.

If anything, Tanyel is the two faced one, as she sulked in the beach hut about how it should have been her choice, then told everyone Olivia deserved to keep Kai as they had a deeper connection! Make your mind up girl!

I don't know if anyone else thinks this - but when I was the age of the islanders I was concerned about being 'cool'. I wasn't cool but I was self conscious and concerned about trying to appear cool. So much of what goes on in the villa to me seems deeply deeply uncool. Especially the males. The preening, those morning talks they have, the speeches they give at re-coupling and the challenges. My 20 something year old self would have died of cringe at this stuff.

Have times changed? Those with teenage kids - what do your kids think of this stuff.

When Ron won’t speak to Lana and he goes over to Ellie and Casey, Lana comments why is he talking to Casey before me, but doesn’t Ron ask if he can grab Ellie rather than Casey?
