MAFS OZ (spoilers thread)

Starts here in Oz 30th January so thought I'd give everyone a heads up if you're watching in real time with us.

In case anyone needs a reminder this will be the spoiler/up to date thread. Someone else can start the UK pace one.

I felt so bad for Duncan today. He was so happy and relaxed with Evelyn and focused totally on Alyssa. When he greeted her with the very 'words of affirmation' she keeps whining on about, she shut him down 'I've only been gone 3 day'. It's no wonder he doesn't fish about her every move if that's how she reacts when he expresses his feelings.

Yes, when you have a child you have to put them first. Anyone with half a brain knows that - hence Duncan's bewilderment at her total fixation on how it won't work because she's a Mum. Single parents navigate this every single day with men a whole lot less emotionally mature than Duncan. It's not that hard. Children are accepting as long as it is taken at their pace. He is not going to be the child's father - and he absolutely understands what Alyssa's priorities are.

What does she wants him to say?! If he went around saying he totally understands what it is to be a parent and he has no learning to do, he would be wrong and a total pillock to boot. The best he can say is 'I totally support you with your parenting and am open to learning' which, I think, is what he has said.

I had a relationship with someone who would go quiet for days on end and give me the complete cold shoulder. He would stonewall, refuse to tell me what I'd done wrong and ask for 'space' while he 'worked it out in his head'. What happens is that the ignored party becomes a total basket case while the stonewaller holds this 'crime' over their head until they come to their judgement.

Often, when this happened to me, it turned out to be something stupid (usually me using the wrong word and him misunderstanding something I said) that could have been sorted in one short conversation. Him twisting things in his own head for days on end was the worst thing for all involved.

It didn't last because I ended up anxious and ill from always walking on eggshells.

She's a big, red flag.

I also don’t understand why the judges seem horrified during the dinner party and then don’t really pull them up on their behaivour?!

Duncan said 'I'm a bit of a goose outside of this experiment' after his photoshoot. What does this mean?

I think he means he has a playful side. He was good with Evelyn.

Bloody hell. Harrison looked smug. Bronte is just yuck 'Melinda's gaslighing you'.

Poor poor Duncan. He could do SO much better. Alyssa's not ready to be in a relationship.

As an aside Duncan had loads of fun and chemistry with Evelyn. They’d have been a much better match.

Did I miss something? I saw the episode but it seemed to jump from everyone moving in together to "the three days is over" and showed nothing in between 🤷🏼‍♀️

Bronte clearly doesn't know what gaslighting is - as she's entirely unable to see it in Harrison when he's practically yelling 'gaslight, gaslight, gaslight!' Every time he speaks to her.

How the feck is Duncan single? The guy is more emotionally intelligent than the supposed experts! Alyssa gives me really bad vibes.
I love love love Ollie and Tahnee and am so happy they seem to have worked out so far ( they have moved in together in real life).
Boys and Girls nights next . Should be fun!
Also Dan of the weirdly changing hairline has a new woman. Gosh she must be desperate.

I know. I’m loving watching the scales fall from all the others’ eyes. And every single one of the other women tell Brontë what he’s doing to her.

If Brontë is playing the game then good luck to her, if she's not she's going to need some good friends when she gets out.

Just watched ep27 and utterly convinced Harrison is a deliberate troll.

It’s hard not to think that. He’s like a pantomime villain, with that deeply unpleasant little smirk.

From what I can gather from what some ex MAFs stars have been saying is that he is a super fan who has been trolling them for years.

I think Bronte is in on it too, they're a fame hungry pair and she did stir it up equally for Mel and Layton.

Harrison is not well liked in the boys group either is he, Olly in particular isn't a fan

Today's episode when Harrison accused Adam of exactly what the ixperts had accused him of! The nerve.

Tell me this, will Harrison ditch Bronte at final vows for a dramatic ending?

We start a new season of MAFS with such enthusiasm, but boy by the end are you ready for it to finish...

I know. It's been a particularly unpleasant group besides for a few. They need to start casting some normal people or I think the show might end. Love Ollie and Tahnee so at least there's that. Alyssa is a fruitloop. "my child , my child".

Just read an interview with Harrison where he was basically throwing Bronte under the bus, by saying that if ALL of the women were against her, then how bad she must have been.

I think Duncan is single because he likes his bad boy friends. He is good pals with Harrison etc.

I agree with this, although he is emotionally intelligent in some ways I think he looks for ways to get a personality.
