Starts here in Oz 30th January so thought I'd give everyone a heads up if you're watching in real time with us.

In case anyone needs a reminder this will be the spoiler/up to date thread. Someone else can start the UK pace one.

I've seen two or three participants from previous seasons have been calling Harrison out. Apparently he trolled them during their seasons when they were on MAFs. He went into great detail about how Bex was a narcissist and how Steve, the English bloke who was on a few years ago, was very clearly gay. They've all come out against him now he's on the show, and they've all said he's clearly a troll and I think they've all asked him to apologise publicly.

LoveMAFS · 12/03/2023 20:17

I'm just watching 25 now. Harrison 'I'm going to let Bronte redeem herself to me'
Shock

LoveMAFS · 12/03/2023 20:33

Alyssa needs therapy to work through the divorce she hasn't even finalised before getting deep into another relationship.

LoveMAFS · 12/03/2023 20:38

🙁Jesse's body language just sitting there in the background..

Blossomtoes · 12/03/2023 21:08

So sad. I was heartbroken when Jesse said he’d have written stay if he hadn’t been at that bloody dinner party. I so hope Harrison gets his comeuppance soon.

LoveMAFS · 12/03/2023 21:11

Melinda 'He had my back, he didn't have my back, he had my back'... 🙄

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 12/03/2023 21:20

Soz for the DM link but I'd like to think this is true

I cant' remember how old her child is - if they are really young then I just don't think she should be on here. I'm not saying she should wait til they're 16 I just don't think taking yourself away from your kid from an extended period of time is going to put you in the best mindset.

I'm with you though...RUN DUNCAN!!

The kid is 3.

Apparently she kicks off at the producers at some point because they won't let her stop filming when she was supposed to collect the child hours earlier.

TitsInAbsentia · 12/03/2023 12:47

@SliceOfCakeCupOfTea actually you are right, and on reflection my comment of things getting good is totally wrong. Given some of the toxic characters in there, and I think we could guess some of the pairings they will choose, I wouldn't be that happy being sharing a flat with them let alone a bed. I think it does show how little this show is about finding the one - for the productions/ixpert side as well as for walking dicks like Harrison.

I am just sitting down to ep 25 and wondering who will even be left to so the swap....

Ah sorry I wasn't being critical of your comment. Clearly it's been done to create drama and therefore good TV. Let's face it, the vast majority of people watch it for this reason alone. I'm just surprised by this 'twist' because it seems a step too far if the people on the show are there for genuine reasons.

TitsInAbsentia · 13/03/2023 11:05

Ah no I didn't take it as that, you just made me think about a bit more.
Let's face it, I'm expecting a couple of walk out threats!

Blossomtoes · 13/03/2023 12:56

Just watched Ep 26. Can’t wait to see what you all think of it.

TheObstinateHeadstrongGirl · 13/03/2023 13:20

I’m watching it now on my lunch hour! I’ll report back when done.

As much as Harrison’s ‘revelation’ about Clare was ENTIRELY down to self interest and deflection…sorry but he’s right. She isn’t interested in Jesse. She stayed to change her image. I don’t blame her, her life would have been hell if she’d just left after the cheating revelation. It that IS why she stayed.

Surelyitscoffeetime · 13/03/2023 14:06

Alyssa is officially bonkers. He is the closest thing to a perfect man and she is treating him like turd.

TitsInAbsentia · 13/03/2023 14:59

Oh crap...it's all gone to pot....Alyssa needs to get in the bin with Harrison and his smirk, and Bronte of course. Terrible stuff. Thank heavens for Ollie and Tahnee!

Blossomtoes · 13/03/2023 15:41

Anyone else totally admire Layton for being so principled? I’d have fallen at his feet if I’d been Melinda. And Brontë is as bad as Harrison, any opportunity to take a wrecking ball to another relationship.

I disagree about Claire incidentally. I really liked her.

LittleBear21 · 13/03/2023 16:03

The Melinda & Layton scenes were hard to watch. I really like them as a couple and individually. But Melinda completely left Layton on his own to justify a perfectly understandable position (i.e. he wasn't comfortable moving in with another woman - bonkers this programme has reached the point where that is an unreasonable position). And IN FRONT of Harrison. Harrison has a dangerous knack of exploiting other people's weaknesses (albeit massively helped by the producers here - both couples would have had a much more constructive feedback week mixed in with the rest). She absolutely should have backed Layton in front of Harrison given how much she's stressed that's important to her.

Melinda can be very perceptive from the outside looking in. I think she's always seen Harrison for what he is. BUT she really struggles to empathise if she disagrees with someone. Layton was totally entitled to simply say I don't feel comfortable doing this. Would Melinda have been so insistent that the other person should "just do it, because they signed up for the programme" if they were a more vulnerable character?

NewCarOldCar · 13/03/2023 16:40

Harrison - "Melinda is just image driven"

Yep, takes one to know one!

Exactly that! Why would you ever throw such a wonderful man away. He looks broken

Yes Layton is lovely. I also like Melinda and think they’re well matched. I think she just accepted the inevitable sooner than Layton did (in that they HAD to contractually do the challenges).

Bronte is as bad as Harrison yes. She’s awful and really shit stirred with Layton. Melinda is not aggressive she’s just a woman who says it like it is.

Funny how Bronte and Harrison claim their relationship is real yet continue to break up and fall out. It’s almost like they do what it takes to get the ratings 🧐

TheObstinateHeadstrongGirl · 13/03/2023 18:13

As for Alyssa - what a total loon! What ahs Duncan actually done wrong? Can anyone enlighten me?

And the gall of her thinking she should retain the right to sulk for a week and he just has to sit around waiting for her to forgive his perceived slight. What’s worse is she genuinely thinks that a completely reasonable ask. He needs to run from her and towards me.

As an aside Duncan had loads of fun and chemistry with Evelyn. They’d have been a much better match.

NewCarOldCar · 13/03/2023 18:53

Alyssa is a dreadful woman.

Complete control freak and gas lighter. Horrid, horrid person.

brittanyfairies · 13/03/2023 19:09

Alyssa is awful, poor Duncan, that poor guy can do no right. I mean he is the perfect man.

Bronte and Harrison are playing a game, they are in this for the fame and she's equally as nasty as him. I agreed with Layton, what was the point of that exercise it wasn't going to improve his relationship with Mel. She should have backed him up in front of Harrison.

TheObstinateHeadstrongGirl · 13/03/2023 20:18

I’m kind of judging Duncan for continuing to pander to Alyssa.

I think we might just have seen the end of it. The poor man was at his wits’ end. Unsurprisingly.

lifeissweet · 13/03/2023 20:44

The ixperts were absolutely USELESS this week. They know Alyssa is being unreasonable, but they let her have her tantrum and didn't seem to push back very hard.

Same with Harrison. He got the easiest of rides. They let him say he has no idea what mistakes he makes and just left it hanging there. They let him put it all in Brontë and let that go too. Just pointed out that he was doing it.

I hope that, at some point, they will actually present his behaviour to him in a way that he can't so easily brush off.
