The only thing that redeemed that episode was the look of contempt on Ryan's face.
I think it's all just clicked into place.

Neckbeard is grim. Sounds like he grooms kids. Sounds like he groomed his wife and has spent years controlling her. Padlock on the fridge was noted by the copper and Neckbeard has made himself look really guilty.

🙁That’s a point. They always make sure heroic figures have lost their real lives so it’s not too terrible when they die. Catherine’s lost her daughter, her sisters sorted and Ryan knows his dads a tit ( well he will by next week when he can’t help himself but kills someone one).

I think Ryan had the sweetest face. Took me a while to clock that he's the same actor from the earlier series.

I want the final scene to feature him and his granny. Both of them very much alive!

Just unbelievable that she'd tell her boss she was worried about him escaping and taking Ryan bungee jumping, she was told Ryan had been asked to go to Leeds that day and constantly gets on her phone at other times yet didn't bother with the 20 second call to the school to ensure he'd arrived 🥴

Apparently Sally Wainwright left such a long gap between series because she wanted the same actor to play Ryan throughout.And James Norton and he get on so well.JN rates him highly as an upcoming actor and is mentoring him.That's nice.
